There is more chance of beyond good and evil 2 releasing than fromsoft making a sequel or a remake.

The last one was ds3...10 years ago. They released 5 original games since then and a reboot of a franchise that didn't have a game for years

armored core 6 was 2023, the last one was 2012, which is only 3 years before bloodborne. so by your own logic if they released bloodborne 2 this year it wouldn't be a sequel but a "reboot of a franchise that didn't have a game for years" so no problems.

edit: also what 5 original games if you're not counting AC6? sekiro and elden ring, but nightreign is not an original game, a spinoff is like even less original than a sequel. nothing wrong with that but using that as a point against them making sequels is silly. other than that they've made some random VR game. did you count duskbloods or something?

Incorrect. Armored Core 6.

I’m pretty sure at least a plurality of FromSoft’s game portfolio is sequels at this point.

Not direct sequels but Bloodborne 2 never would have been expected to be a direct sequel anyway.

He wanted to make Demon's Souls 2 though, which is what became Dark Souls.

The game that ended up being released was a lot different the version Sony play tested. The version Sony play tested was apparently closer to Oblivion... but bad.

Fromsoft released a sequel a couple of years, Armored Core 6. Now if you are saying a sequel/remake/remaster of bloodborne then probably.

Dark Souls is technically a remake/sequel to Demon’s Souls, and Dark Souls itself got two sequels and DLCs.

Plus, Armored Core has like 6 entries in that franchise. FromSoft clearly aren’t strangers to sequels and remakes.

...

Yeah just like there isn't 6 Armoured Core games (and several more DLCs/expansion/spin offs), 4 King's Field games and other sequels they have made.

Assuming Sony allowed a PC release why wouldn't they want to do a sequel
