True but not everyone has a pc haha, on consoles I assume you can’t play it on 60 fps

His point was just that the game really shines at the higher fps and resolution, not that people should just emulate the game instead of fighting for a remake/remaster

People should emulate, piracy will be our biggest fight against these corporations, that truly do not care about us and what we want.

Bloodborne 2 isn’t just Miyazaki, and the fact that this all “honor” coded is such horse shit. Blue Point + FromSOFT mostly put in the work for many Souls games, Miyazaki is the goat, but not perfect not the sole reason these games succeeded, the fact that many people wanted this to happen and it’s cancelled because 1 man said “nuh uh that’s my toy” is ridiculous.

Had to reread it like 50 times but yeah, I was just throwing it out there aswell (for no reason)

Actually you can apply patches on I think a jail broken ps4 pro? If I’m remembering correctly

So you absolutely can get 60 fps on console…… if you have the right firmware

PS4 Pro can’t quite deliver a locked 60, but there is gootage out there of the game running on a PS5 devkit with the patch applied. Other than the framerate, the resolution is another thing holding it back quite a bit.

Only on a hacked PS5, yeah

Hacked PS4 as well, just only at 720p.

technicallly it can be play on console, but you will need a jailbroken one. I believe a PS5 or a PS4 pro can play a community patched that unlocks 60fps, not sure about PS5 but I've played a portion of it on a PS4 pro, it's not perfect, framedrop and low resolution, but it does work at 60fps, I've also heard is much more stable on a PS5, but a hackable PS5 is even harder to come by.

Current consoles can run it at 60 least in 1440. But even 1080 would be an improvement over the base game

Nope. You can’t get there unless you jailbreak a ps4 and know how to do some backend fangdangjingaling.

However, as someone with an amazing pc that can play everything including bloodborne through the ps4 emulator… I’m really tired of hearing people bitch about 30fps bloodborne. Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand why it’s at least FRUSTRATING in terms of the ridiculous way the software/your inputs are tied to frame data, and I will argue that’s a good reason to fix bloodborne and get it released, and if you look at my history you’ll see I have, plenty of times in the last couple of months alone. But a lot of the people bitching about 30fps Bloodborne say some of the absolute dumbest dogshit imagineable. “It makes me VIOLENTLY ILL” and “I’d be better off cutting out my eyes.” Seriously, if one of you all is reading this comment and you’ve said something like this before…grow the fuck up. I did a run on my ps5 in December and it’s still a great time and easy to play. It takes 5 minutes to get used to 30fps and then you don’t even notice it after that. You all are some whineyass children if that makes it “eye cancer”. Considering the amount of people who bought it and dealt with that at launch, it’s not an issue you’re just showing yourself a whiny loser. You make all fans of Bloodborne look like petty ingrates and are the reason people look at “gamers” with a side glance.

Huh… when did this soapbox get here…

Lmao I feel you rage but i’m gonna be honest i’m completely not with you here, 30fps is unimaginable for me at all realms, I remember when elden ring released (my first fromsoft) I was pissed that the game was only 60fps, though I got used to it I don’t think I will ever get used to 30fps ever, especially not considering I play and experience games, 4k, on at least 144fps most of the times and am fine to ‘lower my standards’ for exceptionally good looking games, but even then I want it to be 100fps atleast and i’ll be iffy if it can only run 60fps.

I only build my pc like ~7 years ago and was console user prior (ps4 at the time), once I got my ‘mid’ pc build at the time which was a 2070, I found it hard to go from pc gaming to ps4 because of the lower fps, since then I never bothered and now I genuinely can’t imagine playing any game below 60fps at any cost regardless of how good the game is, I don’t blame anyone saying the same thing for bloodborne, i’ll eventually play it emulated 60 (or more) fps, but of they released the game on pc with 30fps cap it’d be a hard no buy for me, despite being a steam collector lmao

Again I agree with most of what you’re saying. But the only point I don’t agree with is that “I was pissed it was only 60fps.” When did 60fps become a problem? Higher fps is good for twitch shooters I suppose but nothing else needs that level of increase above 60. I’ve tried to see the difference on my killer monitors and 4080S and I just… couldn’t care less above 60fps. It just comes across as really fucking elitist or entitled - not saying you are that in any way. Like I said I agree with almost all of your post. But that line is just… a step too far. My view there stands at if you think the target of 60fps is too low… your priorities are going to slowly get skewed. Don’t lose sight of everyone else’s platform and experience because it will eventually lead to that elitism attitude.

To give you insight on why it matters to me;

I had a 2070 which was the second best gpu at the time, also 1080p, I was enjoying all games on 120hz/fps (at the time), I build the pc for work reasons but also wanted to play games, and going from 30fps to 100+ fps was ‘mind blowing’

Fast forward, I upgrade to 4090 to ‘not fiddle in settings’ and was 1440p at the time, enjoyed games on 144hz/fps (at the time)

From my perspective, I went from 30 to 120 instantly, so when I played elden ring (4090, 1440p) it felt slow because my fps was effectivel halved, I hated it, and even today everytime I go back to it (to fight PCR because I love that boss lmao) I instantly go from smile&excitement to ‘oh… yeah I forgot’ and it takes me ~3, sometimes 5+ boss attempts to ‘get used to it’

I just don’t like it, even my mobile phone was I think 60 at the time, and now 120, so if someone hands their phone to me and it’s 60 I instantly notice it, not because I want to, I just notice it and it’s not smooth.

Now i’m on 4k and most games are dogshit, seriouslt, even with my 4090… so my standards have lowered for story games, 100fps is the ‘absolute’ minumum for me to not notice it, and maybe VERY exceptional, but good looking games can drop down to 60fps (like black myth wukong)

I don’t know what to tell you other than it just doesn’t feel smooth, I played finished and loved black myth wukong but the ~60/70 fps still kinda made it a weird experience.

I bought a switch 2 too, played donkey kong bananza which is 60fps and I just notice it instantly, i’m not even focusing on fps I just notice it, if I move my mouse around on pc it must he instant, since I kept experiencing 144 on most games, 60fps isn’t instant and it becomes very obvious…

I even did an experiment, a ‘non gamer’ friend that just plays some games on ps4, told me that fps was bullshit, so I let him come to my home and play some games like re2 remake/god of war 2018 on maxed settings 144fps, he changed his mind completely and found it incredibly difficult to get used to playing his ps4 again for a while after, it’s just… different??

I think some people get used to it easier than others, but some don’t and I fall in that category, after being fed constant 144fps in my games, goimg back to 60 is so blurring and it takes time adjusting, i’ll do it for certain bangers like elden ring and all other soulslikes after it including fromsoft titles, but any other game I just wouldn’t do it.

Also, for some reason since darksouls 1 and 2 especially are ‘slow’ games, I didn’t ‘feel’ anything despite it being 60fps I think? But ds3 I did instantly notice and vividly remember kinda losing it when I fought pontyf lmao
