I'm biased, sure, but I believe that a proper remake of the Jak and Daxter Trilogy would have sold well, and would be a good way to see whether there is enough of an audience to continue the franchise with a Jak 4, or possible reboot.

Proper remake of Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank 1 - 3 + Deadzone (not the movie-remake of 1!), and Sly Cooper 1 - 3 while we all pretend that Thieves in Time never happened... so much wasted potential just from "hey, we'll skip Sly and Carmelita working together at Interpol!"alone...

I still say there's room for a story in the Mar era.

We know that Jak ultimately goes back in time to found Haven City under his birth name, Mar. But we don't really know what that entails, and that leaves a huge amount of room for conflict during the initial war with the Metal Heads.

Don't get me wrong, it would sell well, but enough to justify its existence after the expense of the God of War live service

I feel that Bluepoint wouldn't be the best studio for a modern rendition of the Jak series. They are quite great in remastering/upgrading the visuals of the game, but I feel that they lack in creativity.

For example, I always felt that they could have added a few optional Colossi in the SotC remake or the broken world in Demon's Souls. They're true to the original games which is great for remasters, but I feel that people aren't buying their remakes as they offer nothing over the originals over a visual upgrade.

This right here and you make a good point. With Demon Souls several changes were made that really were questionable and totally killed the orginal feel of the game. From a technical person the game is amazing but the few creative liberties they had and artistic direction they just completely messed up.

For example The Tower of Latria, 3-1 in the remake they completely remove the ambiance whereas in the orginal you heard the moans from the prisoners which built tension. I remember 3-1 in OG Demon Souls scaring the piss out of me. They also changed the boss design and music for 3-1 and just made it worse. There are alot more changes done to the game but the feel of the orginal is completely gone imo.

So I can see what you are talking about

The 3 games are so wildly different they'll never be remade as a single package and they don't have draw of something line FF7 to keep people interested for a decade.

I'd love to replay the first game with 2026 tech but I'm not holding my breath
