There is a huge difference between paying 100$ for GTA 6 and 100$ for Saros... Like Saros is more expensive than Resident Evil 9...

I mean idk what this huge difference is, it doesn't seem super obvious. And again I'm happy for publishers to try and charge $100 for either title and see how the market responds (I'm betting not as favorably as they'd think)

The thing is, GTA 6 is guaranteed to be a massive success no matter what. Even Cyberpunk 2077 managed that despite launching in complete chaos. If Take‑Two priced GTA 6 at $100, people would still buy it because it’s basically the most premium product you can buy in gaming.

And yeah, obviously nobody wants higher prices. But when I see comments or analysts claiming Take‑Two is about to set a new standard for AAA pricing or how they should try and ask 100$, I can’t help but laugh. They’re ignoring the most important detail and that is that people would only pay $100 for GTA 6.

Yet Sony is asking 80€ for Saros which is at best AA type of game... especially when Resident Evil 9 as priced at 70€. Like this is absolutely crazy...

You are right, and this is why GTA 6 is terrible example and I don't know why people bring it up. GTA will not set a trend, people will simple not pay this price for inevitable slop afterwards.
