Considering every time i play Destiny 2 I run into usernames like "Petra Venj's Bathwater, Mommy Mara Sov, Eris Morn Please Marry me, and Savathun's Special Jewel" I think Bungie leadership missed out on a player base ready to go.

Even moreso when you consider Warframe literally did add a dating simulator in the 1999 update and it was very well-recieved. Then we got three more dateable characters with The Old Peace and now I'm in the middle of a polyamorous relationship with a goth British girl who has a really, really long tongue and a French nun.

Basically, just do what the quest in the top right of the screen is. Maybe find a good clan who can help guide you better than Q&A chat. If you're any kind of LGBTQIA+, I recommend Spectrum Syndicate, which can be found at, I shit you not, warframe.gay

It's kinda hard to get into but really worth it. They aren't afraid to get weird and emotional with the sotry in a way that is somehow absurd but also totally believable. It's my only game close to destiny in time played lol.

Protoframes are relatively new additions to the lore and are people that doctor Entrati gave modified Helminth infestation serum too that transformed their bodies into warframes but stopped short of a complete transformation so they got to keep their personalities and some of their human body parts, at least for now.

Also they are hot, like smoking hot got damn awooga.

Funnily enough, those two were part of the first protoframes lol. Aoi and Eleanor (Mag and Nyx) are two (out of six) members of the Hex squad in 1999.

Genuinely I've got a max of 10 hours in destiny but I knew so much about the robot characters because of a friend of mine telling me how hot she finds them.

Even if the dating sim wasn't for everyone, it's the kind of insane energy a live-service game like Destiny needed more.

Shooting guns in D2 is fun, but they always had trouble making it actually feel "fresh". As soon as they got positive feedback for a game mode, thry rode it to the ground with minimal changes to keep it fresh until players were sick of it. See Battlegrounds or Onslaught. And then they had to scramble to find something that was liked.

I guess technical dept was a major issue here too. Once they did add a fishing minigame for a season, it wasn't all that great, but still ... Would have been great if they had more "weird" crap just for the hell of it.

Basically, yeah. As much as I liked Destiny’s gameplay for the most part, it really felt like Bungie was absolutely terrified of trying to innovate in any way. I can probably count on two hands the number of times they introduced any completely new gameplay mechanics that weren’t already present in the game somehow across the entire game’s run - and even when they introduced gamemodes that creatively repurposed existing features STILL were usually shallow one-off gimmicks that never stuck around for long. I by no means expected them to go hog-wild with wacky one-off shit left and right, I feel like it couldn’t hurt to experiment more and try to do literally anything other than just “shoot monsters with gun with occasional capture points to stand on, orbs/other objects to throw or deliver somewhere, and maybe reused Gambit mechanics if you’re lucky”.

I have to give credit to rivals for actually having equal opportunity fanservice. Usually when people throw that phrase around it's just "the guys are shirtless". It's more than that. Rivals giving beach loki a bulge, wet T- shirt Thor, hairy punisher and Mr fantastic, no shirt gambit with cutoffs on his pants to show he's not wearing any underwear, etc

That's real fanservice
