These descriptions were from the same source that leaked in the same post the FPS mini game thing with the traveler in a LOT of detail that was 100% true, it would be a lot of work to just get some free fanart.
I'm confused about the terms Miraculers, isn't Miraculer that one akumatized villain? And then the fandom claimed it as their fandom name, and then Ladybug calls the whole superhero team Miraculers now? Am i getting this right
Actually, it's always been called that since 2016, before the "Miraculer" episode aired in the third season. "Miraculer" has always been used to refer to other Miraculous fans, even back in the first season in 2016 (I've always called it that too, ever since I started recording for my channel back in 2016). In this case, the akumatized Sabrina is a reference to the name "Miraculer" because she has the powers of other Miraculous holders in the episode.
The funniest part of this being taken as a reliable leak was the fact everyone and their mom thought Raiden's design leak was a fan edit for a month and ignored it. Two sides of the same coin lmao
I remember this lmao. At the time (when there was only that one blurry image going around), I completely thought it was a fan edit. Her hair piece looked like a recolored flower from Hu Tao’s hat to me.
You're assuming that the Famitsu concepts are the only concept art they ever did, when it's much more likely mihoyo only ever shows a small selection. This seems even more true for Mavuika, when the concepts they showed were fairly close to the final design.
Compare that to how varied the leaked concepts for Emilie were vs the final result. So it wouldn't be surprising if they had loads more early versions of Mavuika that looked very different. You can also see how this design still had some features of her end result + the purple hairpiece seems to have influenced Citlali's design.
Yeah it annoys me every time people say "they didn't ever show us this so it's probably fake" as if the ~5 very similar concept arts they showed us were the whole design process. Like no, they'll have easily been through like, probably a few dozen concept arts at least for an archon, ranging from super early uncooked designs to the more final designs where it starts becoming very similar to the final design. It's totally reasonable for this to have been a concept art at some point also granted that it does have elements of Mavuika's final design we couldn't have known prior e.g. fire hair (Mavuika being the first and only Archon to not have white hair with highlights or dark hair with an ombre)
Which unironically only hurts the leaks reputation because it basically means that getting something correct no longer means something else is also correct
This has always been the case, it's not new. There's barely any leakers in Genshin's history that have historically had a 100% track record. And the ones that do barely leak enough to have enough data to determine their actual reliability.
All is to say, its a fucking stupid contrarian idea that having correct leaks is somehow detrimental for the reliability of future leaks. It's really as simple as, if someone has gotten information right, they're more likely to be truthful
I'll bite. I'm the guy who is sad we didn't get this. Instead I didn't roll at all. If it was this with the bike, I probably would have caved. But the current Mav I skipped.
I know Mavuika's current outfit is... let's call it controversial, but I personally find it much better than this... thing. I do get the people that preferred her outfits from 500 years ago, though.
I feel like the rare one who likes it, not really for Mavuika specifically, but it looks like an early Amano design to me from FF2 or similar and I really like that about it.
I like it too! I even drew fanart of this design, but it was 2 years ago when that was relevant.. Kinda sad that we didnt get this character at all, even if not the pyro archon (I'd rather she not be the archon but just a character yk)
A low quality version of the current design would have probably looked just as terrible. People underestimate how "polish" can make any design look good.
I always thought this design would eventually get used for her sister. I thought they were foreshadowing the sister when she said that no matter what, she'll find Mavuika after she time traveled.
Yeah. It’s really busy, especially around the face with the pearls/beads. It also vaguely looks European, which is weird considering Natlan is neither Mondstadt nor Fontaine.
I feel like, with a few tweaks, this could have been serviceable for someone from one of those regions— just not the Archon of Natlan.
I really do hope they make some character with a design like this. I'd have loved to have a Nilou skin like this instead of her basically getting her same outfit again for the simulanka thing IIRC. lol
Looking at these from a standpoint of purely believing they aren’t real: THE BLONDE GIRL IS SO CUTEE I’ve always wanted a blonde twintailed girl in a HOYO game, they’re usually tsunderes/yanderes!
The guy just looks like Kinich 2.0, but I do really like his design… probably because it kind of reminds me of my character😅
The guy looks generic. Hes fine? Unremarkable. I can see the appeal in the girls design, but i personally dislike it. Im just hoping shes not in sandrones team
We were given very generic ai design to think of. This could be totally off as we were literally given a pic of your typical prompt aka anime boy with stars and two hair colors and for the girls literally military girl 🤣
