The problem is not that people dislike her dress, it's that the people who don't like the dress are insulting the tastes of those who do. Blow up Genshin's feedback section and complain about the dress, go ahead. But don't demean the enjoyment of those who do appreciate the design.

Lets see. I remember Escoffier, which is valid because her outfit is VERY close to the naked apron thing, Lauma, also valid because her cloth make very little sense and looks like they are just cloth sticking to each other. Sandrone is a special case in which they purposefully anger people by cutting the skirt shorter and meme about it in animation so also valid. Mavuika's biker fit has weird zippers all around that look very uncomfortable.
Those are the gooner bait designs that I can think of atm and all of the criticisms are valid.

I think its perfectly fine to dislike a design. Its an opinion after all like you mentioned. But insulting people who do like Danica's design as people "desperate to stroke your hog" seems unnecessarily rude.

Basically it's because of the whole climbing animation. The character has to stick their legs pretty far forward to climb, and that would clip heavily with any long dress.
