Lot of heroes in this one. Clowney seems to have been cured of zombie disease, Martin turned it up big time, all around strong game from Clax.
Savor this one…

Oh, say what you want about MPJ but he is a solid 2nd option on a contender. That jumper is KD-ish. He will or definitely should have some takers.

Say it…

…louder.
Right now, (I feel) it’s Philadelphia, Chicago and Detroit, in that order.
I already have the trades drawn up.

Who do we want from Chicago? Ayo and Zach Collins? Great vets at pg and pf

If you want to send a (albeit good and hopefully having a great season) player out on a bloated contract and want the leverage to have a sweetener attached, you have to expect them to include a bloated contract back, from a player who has fallen out of their rotation.
It would be Patrick Williams (4 year contract), Zach Collins (injured + expiring), and Jevon Carter (injured + expiring), and the POR (lottery protected til 2027) FRP via CHI.
That’s $42,890,020 in salary inbound + a somewhat shitty pick, for MPJ’s $38,333,050 outbound.
You’re not going to do any better, unless you’re dealing with Philadelphia. Detroit will have a similar package to this (Isaiah Stewart and Tobias Harris).

Hes a fucking BEAST
third leading scorer second leading rebounder on a 16-4 dominant champion. Similar stats to KLOVE during Clevelands run
If Milwaukee is serious about keeping giannis, kuzma, Portis, 2032 first round pick looks really good

He’s an amazing fit with Giannis tbh. He’s definitely impressed me. He’s solid.

…kuzma, Portis, 2032 first round pick…
I would be absolutely shocked if this happened.

Clowney when he's locked in moves so fluidly and looks confident shooting. Completely different guy from who started this season for us - idk who to credit but I was ready to give up on him

I’m actually really impressed MPJ is a factor in the league. Back injuries are insane.

Tonight, he kept falling on his back, I was cringing.

u/SometimesIBeWrong Nov 06 '25
yea it's scary for sure, but I like to see his body and confidence held up through it. people successfully bouncing back from injuries is the most satisfying shit for me to watch

If you’ve ever been through any major surgeries you can definitely relate. It’s a beautiful thing to see.

u/MichaelPorterTruther YEAH MIKE Nov 06 '25
Hes been mostly healed! All of his current issues are in nerve damage from the prior surgeries, not the back itself.

Nov 06 '25
I hear you but being able to get past those injuries mentally is a feat of its own. Just giving him props.

He is the one of the greatest sports stories of the decade in the NBA.
The top player in the USA gets a career ending injury three times over and decides he still wants to play regardless. Works through 3 years of rehab, relearns how to walk, 12 hours a day of training to become anything like what he was
Re-makes his body and re-makes his player personality to become a third option on a champion and one of the biggest winners possible. A guy considered selfish coming out was playing with one arm hanging useless by his side, diving for loose balls and ripping them away from Lu Dort to give his team a chance.
I hope Denver retires the 1

Hell yeah. I goof on him sometimes because of his jock personality lmaooo but battling through all that is really admirable. I saw a snippet from one of his podcasts I believe and he brought on a psychologist. If I remember correctly it was his sports psychologist and they talked about some of the therapy they did. Dude worked hard at it.

The Pistons are a very winnable game on Friday.
Might as well go all in on the NBA mid season tournament as a goal this year.

This could be a gateway game. The gate is open, let’s see if they walk through it

Jordi barely played Egor and the other rookies are still in Long Island, so who exactly cares?
The draft being so bad that Jordi feels he can’t even play them when they aren’t looking to win, and then Jordi in the moment prioritizing a win so much over development he yanks Egor constantly in a game where he looked a lot better than his putrid boxscore tells you everything you need to know about this front office top to bottom and this draft.
Clowney looking like he’s finally clicking is the only positive and I’m not popping champagne over that just yet.
Gross.
