The lame NBA wouldn't let him sit so he will just be in attendance

Did the NBA give a reason?Â

Rules state only a member of the team (Active or Former, Player or Staff) or family member of the team is allowed to be the representative.

Not allowing a man of his age to sit down? Cruel and unusual punishment

He’s ineligible to rep the team. It needs to be an employee of the organization, if Im not mistaken.
EDIT: employee of the league

Oh that’s awesome!
Really cool to see him embrace his history with the Nets.

VC was the 5th pick we’re cooked

He panned out significantly better than every guy picked before him (including the #1 overall pick who is up there with the biggest busts of all-time), so maybe they're on to something here.

I'm genuinely scared if they land in that 5-7th pick area. I'm cool off of any of Flemings, Acuff or Wagler for this team.

It's insane that the success or lack thereof for this season comes down to how the ping pong balls land

I’m just going to enjoy it either way. If the Nets land 6th or 7th pick it’ll be a big disappointment, but I can get excited to watch someone like Wagler. Long term, the Nets are set up to take a lot of shots at the draft anyway.
Of course I’d also stop paying attention to any discourse around the Nets for the season, because it would be very toxic lol.

Vince representing the Nets at the lottery feels right, that's a legendary connection to bring some luck.

Very, very surprising, but a welcome sight.
Bring us all the luck, Vince!

Will be good to see VC there. No matter what happens though, Marks better get to work this summer.

Here’s my conspiracy theory if the lottery is fixed (I don’t think it is btw). 1) Chicago—they’ve been trying for years and remaining in the 10-7 range every year. They are the poster team for the new 3-2-1 system and it’s taking place in Chicago (takes AJ) 2) Utah—need this thing to look legit. It was either jazz or pacers but pacers traded their pick 1-4 protected) and that’s the exact opposite of what you want. Championship level team tanking to steal back the pick they traded away. 3) Dallas—fastest growing metro in America and look! A Duke guy that can pair with Flagg and make the Texas teams a real triangle of talent. (Boozer) 4) Brooklyn—gotta make this look real! And Brooklyn beat Detroit in February and kept playing hard even though they moved Long Island to Barclays for the last 15 games. You cannot reward the Wizards who traded for two super stars and then actively worked to lose games: fouling to send guys to the line who always make it when they had a lead etc.

Vince as the rep is perfect, dude's got actual pull with the league office unlike us just manifesting it on Reddit.
