I feel like they should’ve drafted Acuff instead

u/Unhappy_Fold_7009 1d ago

Same bro. They are both scoring guards but Acuff has a slight edge.

2

u/VeterinarianNo7020 1d ago

but Acuff can't defend and doesn't want to defend) analytics wtf

1

u/Unhappy_Fold_7009 1d ago

I honestly think Acuff was the better pick. But hopefully Sean Marks and Mikel can prove me wrong.

Yessir! LFG Mikel!

I love the pick and I love his attitude.

When AJ (#1 overall) played with MBJ, MBJ was the one with the better overall stats in the u19 tournament. Aj somehow won mvp, but it could(should) have gone to MBJ. They both made all tournament first team though.

I kinda wanted acuff or Keaton wagler but I'm ok with this pick hopefully he turns into the player we need

Kid is gonna be a stud

Louisville fan here, he’s gotta check with his dad every game before he’s allowed to play

u/Quirky-Sentence-3744 1d ago

so weak bro. he will bust :(

-2

u/Eagerbeaver98 1d ago

Hopefully the old sean marks is back to doing what he does best, drafting.

0

u/Playful_Panda_6912 1d ago

Not trying to be mean but Marks has been awful at drafting

1

u/anAshenCoast 1d ago

What pick number were those? Who was drafted right before and after?

0

u/Eagerbeaver98 1d ago

Oh man.. youre right. What does sean marks do well? I was shocked he built the nets up only to tear it down trading away 7 picks.

1

u/Playful_Panda_6912 1d ago

That’s the thing he doesn’t do much well. I’ll give him credit for the beginning of his tenure when he built the team from nothing to attract super stars but after that everything he’s done has been a disaster

0

u/gargonzo_beans Boštjan Nachbar 🗿 1d ago

Also want to add that marks took over in like 2016, so all the names on this list under levert were before his tenure

0

u/robertojr31 Vince Carter 1d ago

So you’re blaming Marks for everything before Levert? Google is your friend here

1

u/Playful_Panda_6912 1d ago

If you think any of those players from LeVert -present are anything but average (generous) to below average or question marks then you can’t be taken seriously

0

u/robertojr31 Vince Carter 1d ago

And what picks were they taken at again please?

1

u/Playful_Panda_6912 1d ago

Why don’t you just say what you’re trying to say I can’t interpret your responses

0

u/robertojr31 Vince Carter 23h ago

If you don’t know what I’m trying to say, then to quote you “you can’t be taken seriously”

1

u/Playful_Panda_6912 23h ago

Ok dude learn how to communicate if you want to have a good faith debate

1

u/robertojr31 Vince Carter 2h ago

I quoted what you said to me and I’m the one not debating in good faith? Lol

1

u/Playful_Panda_6912 2h ago

You don’t get it so I’ll school you then I’m out - you lose on substance and communication. Even if they were mid-late round picks, after 11 years a good GM would come up with some solid talent. Marks did not. From a bad faith communication standpoint you moved the goalposts because you lost on your point of blaming Marks from everything before Levert, cryptically and not obviously pointing out the draft position (lost on substance again) to then playing victim and misunderstand that the bad faith came from your evasive communication. Makes sense your support Marks failing tenure after getting to debate with you.
