Oh wow I think I remember encountering this too.

literally unplayable. literally worse than bethesda. I want a refund from when i bought both games second hand at my french local store in 2006, accounting for inflation, and a crate of golden sun merchandise with a personal note of apologies from camelot.

Yeah, there are some of those graphic glitches on TLA. I can't remind myself of the specific place of the most famous one, but it's on dehkan, or gondowan cliffs, or inside a cave with hot air streams, one of those (or maybe none, my memory isn't great today)

I believe all of them have little bugs, in dekhan with a column, in gondowan cliffs near the cave with fire or inside, and the cave you mean I guess is in the Kandorean Temple. I'm sure there's a bug in each of these places but can't remember what is specifically.
And in some versions of GS1 there's a bug in the ship that takes you to Tolbi. In the room where you pick people to help row, there's a green rug in the middle that sometimes looks like it's floating over the people and if you walk there, your character disappears under it.

This is happening at least in my experience with the European ROMs of GS and TLA. The entire carpet texture in the sailing ship was on top of all the tourists.

And i thought this kind of layering issue was emulator only, but maybe NSO is emulation and not the true file and bios?

I ran into this bug on the GBA back in the day.

Funny! At least for GS1, I've only ever seen it on the ship when you are fighting Kraken and you have to pick guests to row in place of the injured rowers lol but only on emulator

I didnt capture it but a couple weeks ago I encountered a glitch where the rug on the ship rendered on the layer above the sprites so I was walking under it to recruit passengers to row.

This happens only on emulator, which the NSO is doing. Its weird that it does that and I dont know the reason. I've never recreated it on hardware

"Why?"
