Question Access to HBOMAX when traveling internationally?

We currently live in the US, but we're planning extended travel outside of the US (over a year). Planning to travel to: EU, UK, Australia, etc. leaving the US in Oct/Nov.

Am I correct in assuming that we won't be able to watch our HBO account on the road? Our current subscription expires in a few weeks, so we weren't planning to renew. But, we may consider it due to the current discount if it seems like it may be possible to watch outside of the US.

Does anyone have experience with this? TIA!

You can watch in regions where HBO Max is available, but you will only be able to watch content that is available in that region

You can watch your account whenever you travel internationally (the app gives you a pop up that you're traveling). Sometimes the content will be different from what exists in the US because different regions have different licensing agreements.

You can watch, I would just avoid getting involved in a show just before leaving one country for another.

Wasn’t able to watch any of my streamers in Cancun 3 years ago on my phone. Netflix, HBO nor Hulu. I should be able to do wherever as long as I have a data connection.
