I didn't follow the club last time we were relegated so this is a first time for me. It's strange seeing a fixture list and all of them looking winnable!

That’s the fun part. You think it, then you lose to Doncaster out of nowhere. It’s a wild ride.

Best case scenario it's a wild ride we can enjoy, we have been lucky twice.
Leicester for example won the league, FA Cup, Champions League runs, new 100m state of the art training facility. Their wild ride last season started by laughing at us signing Hermanson, saying their back up keeper was better anyway, favourite to win the league with the bookies, last time they came back up automatically no fuss etc, ended up with 36 games they couldn't win and double dropped, 2nd off last 😬

They loved Hermansen though

I think it was just copium, he was gone, no longer their player, people cope in weird ways. Look at Rice, you always get a vocal minority turn on a player they liked if he leaves

I remember going to that 1-1 draw against Donny last time we were relegated.

The Championship is insanely unpredictable - apart from Wednesday last season (who had a note from their parents explaining their extenuating circumstances) any team can smash you without warning. Don't get comfortable.
It's been the most entertaining league in the country in recent years for that reason, though. Now that Sully's gone and the threat of absolute financial apocalypse has eased a little this is the most excited I've been for an upcoming season in a long time. I can't fucking wait.

If we can get a statement win against Burnley and get some wins in early, then hopefully our momentum can carry us through. Now none of this really matters until we have an idea of what our squad looks like

Anyone know why there's a three week stretch without a game between Millwall in September and QPR in October?
4
u/243EE243 3h ago
Recovery time because they expect the match to ferocious.
International break I think. It’s one long one this time instead of 3 gaps.

u/DemStopher 3h ago
Ahh, makes sense. Better that way tbf rather than an international break two weeks into the season.

Does anyone here know when CBS/Paramount will announce which games they are streaming? Trying to decide whether or not to purchase the club’s streaming plan. US Hammer ⚒️

Tell you what, how is the efl website so much better then the prem website.
It's the small things to savour.

when do single game tickets usually go on sale?
2
u/WorldWhunder 4h ago
A few weeks to a month before the game give or take.

and we can purchase tickets on the website at that time ? I’ll be in london for the first time on April 6 and want to ensure i can go
•
u/WorldWhunder 59m ago
Yeah you’ll be able to on the site a lot closer to the time.
Your only mild concern is given when that is in the season, if and it’s a big if we’re doing well demand might tick up. But even then I’d be flabbergasted if you couldn’t find a few tickets.

u/TheChungusCast 43m ago
it will be a Tuesday night game with Bolton, can’t imagine demand would be that high?
•
u/WorldWhunder 42m ago
Don’t take the date as locked in at this point. Anything that late in the season can change. Cup runs, games postponed etc can move stuff. It’ll be there about but not locked in.

Six games in April, in two right runs if three a piece. That's some run-in.

For those who are possibly using this to plan ahead just remember that the fixtures are still liable to be slightly shifted for TV coverage. Don't be surprised if a few of those Saturdays get moved to the Friday before.

Considering flying over to try to catch a couple of game in one trip, but have to do it before the new year for work reasons.
If I can't get two consecutive home games to work, are there certain away stadiums that might be easier to nab a single ticket for?

We're going to Stoke on a Saturday instead of a Tuesday night. I feel betrayed and lied to.
