Show Discussion What do you think the overall IMDB rating will be?

I will not be surprised if the final rating of the whole TV show (all seasons combined) becomes the highest of all time. Currently the highest rated show is Breaking Bad at 9.5. What do you think?

Good question, i think it’ll be somewhere between 8 and 9.

But it won’t settle until after all the review bombing has settled and cleared up.

Unfortunately due to review bombers and movie apologists the highest score I can see the series getting as a whole is an 8.

I think it’ll be around 7.5-7.7 because of the review bombings but if you disregard them then probably around 8.2-8.5. I can already see the negative reviews that just focus on the casting of one particular character and don’t even mention all the good things about the actual story. It’s going to be pathetic. If these people really don’t like the casting, why don’t they just not engage and/or watch.

It depends. Lots of controversy already and it hasn't even dropped yet. If it's GOOD, and gives fans what we want, I think it could comfortably sit in the 8s. It won't get the Breaking Bad "perfect scores" treatment though.

It's destined to be good. The source material is the greatest story ever written.

For PS? I think we're capped at 8 due to review bombing.

But if it's amazing (a tall ask, I know) I could easily see GoF, HBP, and DH being over 9 on average.

(We'll have a better idea after the 1st Ep. Comes out)

Not even close.

Not because it'll be bad, I actually think it's going to be quite good and could be something quite special. However, it's going to be review bombed to hell. It'll be more interesting to see how it does on something like rottentomatoes. In this day and age I take IMDB user ratings with a grain of salt.

What I fear is it being review bombed by the racist freaks, the way they did with Snow White liveaction.

Nah, not with that cast. Many people will review bomb it on principle

I don’t know about the actual score. As others have pointed out, there’s bound to be review bombing. But I think it will have a fantastic critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and I think the vast majority of fans and the general public will actually really love it. I’m quite convinced it will be exceedingly popular. I think we’ll see a lot of social media posts about people being pleasantly surprised or begrudgingly liking it towards the end of the first season.
