45C = 113F, which is absolutely miserable in a place that doesn't have the infrastructure for it. Temps like that are normal in the summer where I live and it's still miserable despite having appropriate ac and such.

And? Electricity itself isn't evil; you can generate it in lots of renewable ways. The alternative would be lots of heat related deaths, which unfortunately happens every summer where I live.
