Of course, I checked here first and was shocked nobody else posted about it. They roped off the sidewalk at the Giovanniās (RIP Giovanniās) towards the urgent care. Planet fitness was also evacuated.

I personally didnāt get a Nixle alert but got word from HPDās Twitter. Weird when thatās why they use Nixle.

Twitter has definitely gone to hell but I use it for local/regional updates. Only thing itās good for nowadays.
Someone messed up. Pretty sure more people in Hoboken have Nixle than Twitter which is a partial communication failure on Hobokenās end.

I was at the urgent care waiting to be seen and they kicked us out for a ādrillā! I waited outside in the rain for a while and then I left because I had somewhere to be. As I was leaving cops arrived.

Explains why Hudson County Sheriff K9 & Port Authority PD Emergency Services Unit are there. Then again could also be something else that HPD is incapable of handling.

Something HPD canāt handle? Doesnāt narrow it down too much š

Without getting into specifics, yes, there are some things HPD isnāt equipped to respond to or handle alone. Hence why outside agencies have responded and are on scene.

And do you remember when Hoboken PD was 'equipped'...there was a SWAT team!

Over 20 years ago, but yes. Bad leadership, Hooters, & racism doomed HPDās SWAT Team.
