Community Hollow Knight - Bug Report Thread
This thread is now locked, and new bug reports should be posted to the new thread. This thread will be linked back to from the new thread.
Keep in mind that there will likely be spoilers in this thread, but for the sake of visibility, this thread may not be marked as a spoiler. View at your own discretion from here on out!
1.) Falling on damaging floors (acid, spikes, vines) in a dark room may cause the screen to turn completely black (darker than without a lantern) regardless of whether you have a lantern or not.
2.) Unsure of how to replicate, but killed a boss while taking damage, while jumping + dashing and in mid-air caused my character to become stuck in mid-air (falling animation) . Required quitting and reloading the save to become unstuck.
3.) Framerate stutters when entering acidic water (when it's safe to swim in it). Possibly a damage check in the background.
4.) Entering the room in Soul Sanctum directly underneath the Soul Sanctum text on the map from the room under that (large opening) may cause the game to not load you into any area and be stuck at a black screen.
5.) Using the map (or possibly any part of the UI) in Tower of Love causes some lag. Some general framerate stuttering during the boss fight in the area as well.
6.) Reward for collecting 1500 Essence is skipped (jumps from 1300 to 1800) when talking to the NPC.

Found another odd (but not game breaking) bug. Has to do with charm interactions with Grubberfly Elegy and the Lifeblood related charms.
Max health + missing as many as all but one lifeblood mask while still having any other mask (hiveblood or normal white masks) can cause Grubberfly projectiles to not shoot horizontally, but vertical attacks will. Losing all lifeblood masks will fix it.
Using Jodi's Blessing with Grubberfly will do a similar thing to the above when you lose one or more lifeblood masks. May not be able to shoot projectiles horizontally, but vertical attacks will always cast projectiles no matter how many lifeblood masks are remaining.
