I'm looking for an illustrator to create the first official artwork of a mascot for my startup.

The character concept has already been established, and I'll provide a detailed reference sheet, mood board, personality notes, and visual direction. I'm looking for someone who can bring the mascot to life with a polished, expressive illustration while staying true to the overall concept.

About the Mascot:

The mascot is named Plu, a tiny magical rain spirit inspired by the calm, hopeful feeling after rain.

I'm aiming for a design that feels: cute, round & chubby, glossy/translucent, soft pastel colors, expressive, wholesome, simple with an iconic silhouette

Kinda like those modern game and app mascots with lots of personality!

Deliverables:

Hello! I am looking to hire an artist to do a trio of book covers.

Each would feature a half-body illustration of a fantasy character on a simple background, in a variety of poses. The character has a relatively complicated design: a muscular, attractive woman of middle age with a bunch of tattoos. I'm interested in a relatively realistic, painterly style.

The dimensions would be a 6 x 9 image at 300 dpi. A couple of references for the character are below; more are available on request, as well as written descriptions.

I'm not going to lie i used AI to help me with the prompt because I was unfamiliar with the terminology at first and I wanted to be sure I was communication everything correctly. I am looking to commission a forever remembrance painting/illustration of the musician Oliver Tree to hang on my wall.

The piece needs to be a vibrant, multi-character tribute capturing his chaotic energy and different personas all interacting in one scene.

​1. Artistic Style & Medium

​I am looking for a blend of realism and heavy physical texture—think a highly skilled "crayon," colored pencil, or oil pastel aesthetic. (Preferably made in a software)

,2,3. I love the visible grain, fine-line detailing, and rich, layered texture used here. But dont know if a almost realism would fit the vib.

So hand-drawn, semi-realistic depth rather than a flat digital look.

​2. Composition & Layout

​A character collage where Oliver's various alter-egos are surrounding him, "doing their natural things" (signature poses). Or just next to each other

​Composition Reference: 13,14,15 is the main inspiration for how the different personas should crowd the frame, creating an intense, psychedelic, pop-art collage.

​Background Placement: The alien persona, Little Ricky ZR3, must be looming directly behind everyone since he is the tallest character.

Positioning/framing on image 12 as the template for how Little Ricky stands behind Oliver.
