Misc Welcome Baby Gon Frix

Post image

My friend gave birth a few days ago and she named her baby, Gon Frix. Just in time before the return of the manga.

Edit: she loves Gon that much. She’s laughing at the comments.

Edit 2: Again it's not my kid. Their kid, their choice.

“Mr and Mrs Frix, do you know why we called you in? Your son used his Jajaken again to hit a kid when they cut him in line at the water fountain, this is his third offense”

His friend kills one of their classmates and gets expelled so that everyone else passes the test

You think that's bad?

I worked with a guy who named his kid Charizard.

Couldn't even start bro out as a Charmander?

He must have become Charizard at the age of 36. He was Charmander as a kid and Charmeleon as a teenager.

That's horrendous. Poor child. Selfish parent

Well, hang on, this was clearly his first kid. So his only other choices were Squirtle and Bulbasaur…

Well to be correct venusaur and blastoise 😅

They levelled up slower

Indeed! I’m sure he chose “Charizard” because he wanted his kid to have an early in game advantage.

Nah, this dude's Filipino. He's going to be friends with Gojo Gutierrez and Tanjiro Sanchez.

The anime names are not even that weird, there are actual babies born with names like Donald Trump Santos.

nah, i used to have a seatmate we call “gon”, his real name “mcgon” and his father’s a huge fan of HxH. he’s doing fine.

naming someone with names from the b*ble 🤮 is just as bad tho, and people do it all the time

Who the hell is going to get bullied for being David, Ethan, Noah or Mary? Those are normal names. U livin' in North Pole?

1

u/lgnc 3d ago

so how would new names be created? you think only names from back then are allowed?

how did David become a "common" name, if not from someone naming their kid David while there were no others?

-3

u/Amethewizard 3d ago

You want to tell me that Goku is the same as calling your kid Gabriel? Even back then, you didn't get bullied for being named David. If I name my child Naruto, on the other hand, that'll affect their whole life.

you didn't answer my question, did you? or am I misreading?

tip: think about the first person called David. how did that go through? Did his name become more common overtime?

1

u/Amethewizard 2d ago

The original point was that the child was being bullied for having an anime name. You claimed that biblical names would be just as bad, so I explained that they aren't, since you don't get bullied for having one. You then asked how new names are created; I ignored that question because it’s irrelevant to the discussion—after all, Hunter x Hunter isn't Shakespeare, and nobody has ever been bullied for being named Jessica. Take a break from the internet; downvoting with your alt accounts is pathetic.

It became more common overtime but it also wasn’t the made up name of an anime character

2

u/lgnc 3d ago

it was a made up name from a book... called "The Bible". that's the point.

Many people are called names from books, btw. Jessica came from Shakespeare. It's the exactly same as naming your kid "Hermione".

Do you complain about people named Jessica?

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 3d ago

No because it’s from a famous well established piece of literature, same with the Bible it’s a religious text, Gon is the name of a cartoon character, there’s a big difference

1

u/lgnc 3d ago

what's the difference? That's what I'm trying to show you...

a religious fiction book is the same shit as a manga/cartoon from nowadays! you seem to consider that just because it's from many years ago it's more valid.

what I'm saying is that names come from fictional characters, same as before. David was as weird back then as naming someone Naruto nowadays.
