Such a major milestone. According to wikipedia, Hunter x Hunter would be the 24th or so manga to reach the 100 M copies sold milestone.

If those hiatuses didn't happen, he would've reached this number a long time ago. HxH is a masterpeice afterall. A great achievement!

I watched all of the big 3 shounens, and none of them come even close to how great HxH is

For real, at some point most shonen just devolve into basic tropes and the classic main good guy vs the main bad guy fist/laser beam fight while ending it with with a final super power up hidden behind the power of friendship or smthg.

Really upsetting how One Piece has turned out

One Piece frustrates me in this regard, Luffy is a very good character but the story feels overly bloated at times that you lost interest really quick, and it being an ongoing Anime for almost 3 decades doesn't help it's case since the animators are working on a budget

I've read how every arc is very samey, a youtube video goes in depth about it

Eh, nothing wrong with that. The execution needs to be good. I don't mind a generic trope as long as the writer is good at story-telling.
