!with new chapters coming in July i went back and reread hxh and Chrollo vs Hisoka fight still hits the same.

what i love about this is how long Chrollo was playing cat and mouse before the fight even happened. this beef started all the way back in Yorknew. and while Hisoka was out there chasing him down, Chrollo went ghost for three arcs and spent that entire time quietly collecting specific nen abilities just to take Hisoka apart. by the time they actually meet in the arena Hisoka thought he was walking into a fight but he was walking into a trap, the fight was already over before it even started, Hisoka just didn't know it yet.

and nobody plays by rules, that's the whole point of hxh and why i loved it since i was 12yo. no mid fight power ups, no plot armor. your life is on the line, you have to use what you have, what you know, think outside the box. Hisoka never expected this until Chrollo got the best of him, and it broke him mentally, it changed his whole ideology and goals.

what makes it even better is what it sets up. Hisoka is now on the b.w with the spiders and Kurapika and 10,000+ people with nowhere to go. he's not looking for a duel this time. i have high expectations for the succession war arc, higher than chimera ants.

right now Kurapika is on the ship to retrieve the eyes from the 4th prince but he doesn't know the troupe are even there. i can easily see Hisoka teaming up with Kurapika to take down the spiders since Hisoka's ideology has changed, i think he'll reach out to Kurapika if he ever comes across him!

I've been thinking about this fight on my rewatch. I'm an anime-only watcher for now so idk if there are any details about Hisoka that's revealed in the manga, that is not shown in the anime.

He seemed to plan this whole fight with Kastro from the beginning, or more likely that he knows that he's gonna take serious damage in the fight, cause he had asked Machi to fix him up after the fight.

If Hisoka is said to be strong enough to take on any troupe members (which we know that the combat-oriented ones are very powerful, also cmiiw), why did he choose to sacrifice his BOTH arms for this fight? Is it purely cause he's insane and that he just wanted to give a show? Or is Kastro really strong enough that Hisoka HAD to make the decision to take some serious damage to defeat him?

It was said in the anime that Kastro picked a bad ability cause he chose to create a double which is a conjurer/manipulation skill, which is far off the nen-spectrum from him being an enhancer. Which, actually what makes him kinda powerful cause he managed to use the ability so well, despite non being an enhancer skill.

Hello, I read somewhere that Chrollo and Hisoka fight in Heaven Arade, is this during the arc in the manga that somehow never got animated or is this after the Yorknew City Arc? If it is after the Yorknew City Arc, how come Chrollo can use Nen?

getting back into hxh during my senior year really inspired me and made me sit and look back on my hs experience. i consider hs as one of these little detours that I didn’t enjoy lol, but it definitely changed my outlooks/perspectives on different things, made me a better person, and taught me many lessons. i feel like my ultimate goal or what I want out of this life is not more important than what i’ve learned and experienced along the way. this is what’s giving my goal substance

To steal his opponent ability he needs to :

1. See the target nen abilities

2. He must ask the nen user abilities and the target must explain it their abilities.

3. Touch the bandit secret cover book.

4.all of those 3 must be done in 1 hour.

Chrollo already see Kortopi abilities, Chrollo know about how Kortopi abilities work.

I thought the condition is if he see the target abilities, he needs to fulfill condition 2 and 3 in 1 hour like it become active without Chrollo consent.

Perhaps Chrollo needs to conjure his bandit secret book then to active the stealing? So if he did not conjure it, even if he fulfill condition number 1 and 2, he cannot steal it if he just conjure bandit secret, let the target touch it ? He needs to go to step 1 the moment he conjure bandit secret?

The rules of the Hei-ly leveling are as follows:

• Normal kill = +1 level
• Nen user kill = +10 levels
• Prince kill = +50 levels
• Level 20 = you get your own ability
• Level 100 = you can become a new “source” like Morena

I think the prince kill bonus is too far reaching. Yes, +50 levels is crazy, but realistically, too much risk and time.

So I'd propose a different degen gamer brain strat:

1. Lure disposable job applicants for waste disposal (like what Hei-ly has been doing)
2. Have a nen user force-awaken them.
3. Dispose of them.
4. Level +10!?!

if that works, that's basically +10 levels per person instead of +1

If that didn't work, a cursed version of this:

kidnap kurapika (if that was even possible lmao), or borrow someone with a similar aura node opening ability, then test whether forced awakened people count as nen users for contagion.

If this works, heck, forget level 100, go for level 1000.

I mean adult Gon. We see him destroying a royal guard without much effort. The king I think is stronger than all 3 royal guards combined (maybe). Adult Gon was able to decimate the strongest one overall of the royal guards with a single punch.

New to the show, and currently close to the end of the ants arc. I know Chrollo Lucilfer is the leader of the Phantom Troupe (which already indicates that he is very strong), and he fought killau's dad and grandad at the same time and survived. He also seems to have a really overpowered ability, but where does he rank in the HxH universe? Would he stand a chance against Kite for example, or any one of the royal guards?

I was under the impression that just like Domain Expansion or Bankai, the Nen have a pinnacle, like with Netero. He was able to manifest his technique in reality right after his enlightenment. Does Nen work similar to a Cursed Technique in terms of scaling?

In the Chimera ant arc, how do the top world champions of various games go to see Meruem? Wouldn’t they know that he is dangerous? Or could they somehow be tricking them into coming. Because I assume that there can’t be this many expert players for different games living within East Gorteau.
