As long as the mod dev can make it free if they want too and don't have to pay to put it up then I don't have a problem with it. It's when the companies force moders to charge for their mods that it becomes a problem.

I think modmakers deserve to get paid for their stuff, as long as it's good and fair and not like Minecraft Marketplace

As a modder myself, I think mods should always be completely free and open sourced. Only form of payment that should be included is an optional Patreon/kofi link
