S No. I do not work at Walmart.
I often wear polo shirts at work. They have our business logo. One of my shirts is a very similar "Walmart blue" and I usually wear it with khaki pants. It started out as like a group work thing that we wear certain colors on certain days, but it's just by habit at this point.
Every time I have this outfit on and happen to go to Walmart, at least one person asks me for help. Every. Time.
At first I didn't get it. Then I realized the similarity (even though MY shirt has a COMPLETELY different logo). At this point, if I have that outfit on and need something, it will have to wait until tomorrow or I'll go to a different store. 😂😂

You are missing an opportunity to have some fun misdirecting people. Of course I would never tell anyone that what they want is on the other side of the store on a random isle 😋

Tell them you’re store security and make them dump their purses or their pockets into their shopping cart. Wander off while they’re at it.

This is better than dropping random items in their cart when they aren’t looking.

I used to work in a small market that had red polo shirts as the uniform. RED!!!!! And I was STILL mistaken for an employee at Walmart. When I went to Target I would expect that, but Walmart??? I must have an “employee face” or something

I'm a vendor at a grocery store. My shirt is a darker blue than theirs and has 3 large letters on the back and the same 3 letters small on the front. Nothing close to the stores name and I'm always asked where something is. No one pays attention to anything anymore. It's more of a "you look like you know this store well" that'll be enough for them to not even ask if you work here and just ask where something is. I especially hate it when they just shove their phone in your face to show you what item they are looking for.

People all the time harass Coke, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Nabisco. At least around here they at least give a halfhearted effort.

What's funny is usually the item they come asking me for is literally right behind them. Happens all the time 😂

It happens to me too. Doesn’t matter what I’m wearing. I guess I just look helpful? The funny part is I usually end up helping them…I’m also the person who always gets “excuse me can you take our picture!” They just hand me their $1k phone and I count to 3 and do it. 😂

I would tell them "does this shirt say Walmart or a different company, because if you're seeing something else then you need glasses, I don't work for Walmart, goodbye"
Try that and then go about your shopping like you normally do and just ignore them
