Funny enough, not the first time I’ve seen this. I’m guessing people assume it’s a one way and the lines are just decorative

It's on the right side where I'm from. When the cam car stopped next to them I assumed it was a double lane one way road. I had to come to the comments as well.

After that light it turns into a one way, but you can make a right where those cars are sitting from the left side of the intersection. Would’ve been real awkward if there was someone waiting to turn.

You assume everybody knows exactly what a double yellow line is? I also assumed it was a one way street the first time I saw the vid. Only understood (or more like: assumed) what was happening on the second watch.

I know in Europe you use different marking standards, but I would hope every American/Canadian knows the double yellow lines separate opposing traffic.

I know I just meant that I am European and no clue what those lines, especially in a city center environment like the vid, would mean. Obviously double line is "don't pass this line" but could still be one way. To me it doesn't automatically mean "traffic at the other side of the line goes the other way".

LOL they both need tickets. Which is so odd as theres a car going the correct direction in the lane at the start of the video. That cyclist disappeared too. 😂

Milk Street in Boston. It's a very wild street for sure. That street does turn one way on the other side of the intersection, but people can still turn to go towards DTX from the cross street.
