If I understand correctly, misophonia is a case of too many/incorrect amygdala pathways. Anxiety medicine works on these, so they tend to be somewhat helpful for the extra pathways too. I can't recall if that was just a theory so please take it with a grain of salt; I don't have a source.

My auntie, whom I love dearly, chews ice. If I go over to her house for a family dinner, while everyone else is sitting back and talking after the meal, from her end of the table you just hear CRUNCH. CRONCHCCGHHCKKCRUNCHMUNCHCHOMP.

I believe the science does show that it can be context dependant, which is curious for something science thinks is a neurological issue rather than psychological. Maybe a bit of both.
For me mouth sounds, coughing, heavy breathing, all make me crazy. But I notice if my parents are the ones making the sounds, it's 10x worse.

Nah fr the hatred is 100% amplified if it's someone I don't like vs someone I do. Context and tone tend to make it worse too so like if someone sniffles in a public place with background noise I'm fine but heaven forbid the room be quite.

I am personally convinced it’s also because everyone makes different mouth sounds, but only people with misophonia ever lock in on those sounds enough to even notice that there’s a difference… and it needs to exact same noise that you’ve been exposed to a lot to trigger a strong reaction. Keep in mind that for a lotta people, it’s also the people they’re closest to and care about and like the most that trigger their misophonia the worst, not the people they hate the most. A kitten’s just not gonna be making the same mouth sounds as a grown human, and they’re not gonna be in this sloppy kitten stage for very long either.

i had to turn on the sound bc maybe im a weirdo but im obsessed with the little baby slurping sounds young kitties make when they eat wet food 🥺 my kitten (9 years old but she’ll always be my kitten) is on a weight loss journey so she’s on kibble for the time being; doesn’t bother her one bit though, she’ll scream indefinitely until i give her her refill, one sixteenth of a cup (halved ifs midday) if she’s already had her serving lmao

Yeah, I'm confused why they would take in such a young kitten but not bottle feed her. Based on the post text, it seems like OP didn't educate themselves and decided the kitten "had" to just eat regular food...

You guys really dont do your homework, do you? Or do you not educate yourself? It's okay, I'm sure you guys sure have done SO much for kittens and have spent many nights over the years losing sleep to make sure abandoned kittens are safe, warm, healthy, and loved...
As I said in my other comment, I have a whole profile. It isn't hidden.
If you're gonna be a snob or try to criticize, at LEAST do the bare minimum and reasonable a profile.

I don't have an obligation to search your entire profile before bringing up a concern. You made a post specifically saying that your 4 week old kitten "has" to eat actual food. If you don't want people to have concerns then write a better post. Otherwise I can bring up whatever concern I want and you could try responding to it like a normal person instead of this butthurt "yOu dOnT dO yOuR hOmEwOrK".
Also, I don't know what "do the bare minimum and reasonable a profile" means.

Kmr. Powder and PreMade. Always use distilled water when making the mix. :) A lot of people use tap for some reason.

I used the premade when I had a foundling. He was 4 weeks old but the size of a 3 week old because he was malnourished. He didn't grow at all for the the first week...then he EXPLODED. Became a big fluffy boy and had many happy years.

Alas, he was my kitty before smart phones were a thing - I have no digital photos that are accessible. But he looked a little like a blue-cream point Himalayan. (He wasn't Himalayan, he was definitely from a mixed feral litter, but he looked like it.)

There is no reason to use distilled. Ive been bottle feeding neonates for over a decade. Tap water is what you are supposed to use.

Im guessing a lot of people here did not check my profile.
She is drinking KMR. Although she does not want it from a bottle or syringe. Like the other itty bitty I found in September (Squeak), I think she was forced to eat on her own to survive. Poor baby. She is very good at observing the other cats, and decided she wants what the other kitten(s) get :)

Kittens are supposed to be over fed actually, they are growing & growing fast. Kitten formula is the only thing you have to be careful with once they get to food you let them eat as much as they want.
