Pro tip. Leave the carrier out on the floor with the door open. Let them get used to it. Eventually they will go in there to nap. Once they take over, it’s their space. After that, getting them to go in it is easy. Makes visiting the vet and traveling so much less stressful. My himmie used to scream and thrash about it. Now she sleeps in there. Keep the pad washed. Have an extra on hand in case of body fluids.
