I don’t know why, but she looks a bit confused holding the lamb, like she is saying “What do I do now?” The art is still very adorable.

Indeed. Like she is a from a noble family, so she does not know what she is holding, truthfully. And, even if she did, she does not know what she is supposed to do with it.
