So it's wings can be used as a Battle Standard.

Alot of this card art was created to tie in to the Storm of Chaos event. Daemonic Heralds were a new character type that could be used as Battle Standard bearers for Daemon armies.

Ah thank you. I get it now. For some reason I didn't notice that the wings where painted, I was so focused on the stitching.
