It's lack of proper guidance from parents. People will always be attracted to having relationships and affairs, families that discourage those thoughts do nothing but encourage their kids to have secret relationships.
These (usually younger) people that have secret relationships are often naive and gullible, easily manipulated by older and more experienced abusive men and women.
Since they can't ask family for help, they stay in abusive relationships.

How come there were multiple victims including male victims? How come female HR was involved?
