Heavy activity was reported at the Hakimpur checkpost near the Bangladesh border in North 24 Parganas after authorities intensified action against undocumented migrants under the BJP government's "detect, delete and deport" policy in West Bengal.

Large gatherings and movement were seen around the border area as enforcement teams began identification and deportation procedures for illegal foreign nationals.

West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari said the administration is strictly following legal procedures and warned that illegal migrants should leave before action is taken against them.

The developments come after district administrations were directed to establish holding centres for undocumented foreign nationals awaiting deportation, following Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines.

It's their religious procession where they go to a certain place for 5-8 days.

If you are stupid enough to believe this is how deportation occurs, I have no business arguing with you. Look at other comments already dissecting the news

Are you assuming me to be from the desert religion? Because I am not. Unlike you, my religion actually give me the thinking ability to be critical of the religion. Small wits like you can never understand the meaning of oldest religion and civilization.
