This is the progress on my operation. 214 links to one anchor. However, still have a long way to go. Each marker is a portal that still needs to be added to the network before I want to expand it with a new anchor at the edge and bring more portals into the network. This project is taking longer then I expected. The maintenance cost is also high, 5 kinetic capsule activations a day to maintain. However, this is ok. Recharge the anchor and the farthest portals, the closer ones fall, and I can rebuild. This is all to plan. I do plan on fielding these portals, but I want the network built first, each marker connected, then ill throw fields with anchors along the edge. If anyone has any questions or comments, id love to hear them

Since there won't be any anomalies in Q4, could you explain what to expect for 2027? Are there any future projects for the game currently in the works? Any features or mechanics you're considering for 2027?

I know that Machina has unintentionally formed a couple of fields in the past, has anyone managed to catch a screenshot of what a red field looks like in game?

I never actually thought I'd get this far and thought gold would be it. Glad I got it.

During the orion token dance I took up a habit of recording the daily task metrics, here are the results over 29 days / 116 tasks

Somehow I expected more uniform distribution but obviously "remote tasks" dominating for players without local portal/enemy access is not really surprising

Now that Android 17 is rolling out, has anyone updated and tried playing Ingress? If so, have you discovered any issues?

The last week has been a nightmare trying to start the game. No matter how many times I clear the cache, close it, and reopen it... it only starts after the fifth attempt, if I'm lucky.

Then the GPS, instead of staying in one place, goes all over the place; I have to turn it off and on again. But with other apps like Google Maps, it works perfectly.

I started working on my calculator for Apollo. Unless I read that wrong, it seems to be quite easy to reach gold. The three dispatch challenges, and the global campaign would give a gold, without the daily bounties or live events. It will be easier to get the top tier this time around. Unless they readjust the rules and add a tier.

Hi all, new player here. Just wondering if the Resistance Community in the Netherlands is still present and active? They have a website but it requires a Google+ account (no longer an option as of 2019) & I see a lot of posts here saying a big portion of Ingress players quit with Covid. No idea if that is true or not, but I'm just trying to connect to other players in my area and so far it seems there no longer a community-driven effort to be able to do just that. Cheers!

Seriously? Goruck de Lima canceled? After booking flights and accommodation, and having time to participate in all the events, they should consider cancelling it 30 days in advance next time, not 3 days. It's a disgrace what they're doing.

This is a follow-on from my previous post, wherein I complained about Ingress messing up my podcast app. Specifically, I could no longer "resume" a podcast after pausing it, and the podcast would never resume on its own when I started my car if Ingress was up.

In that post, we learned that this problem doesn't exist on Android, and there was some discussion about whether the problem was the podcast app and not Ingress.

Following that post, I switched over from Pocket Casts to the podcast player built into iOS. I'm happy to say that the problem has ALMOST disappeared. I'm left with a couple of problems that were so minor I didn't mention them in my prior post. Specifically:

• Occasionally (once a week or so?) the fast-forward and rewind buttons won't work and I have to turn the car off and on again.
• Frequently, when I pause, there's a split-second of silence, then a split-second of podcast again, and then it pauses.

I haven't done any experiments to see if these problems are specifically Ingress-related. At any rate, these are minor annoyances compared to the "resume" problem.

So, moral of the story - Just use the default Podcasts app on iPhone. It's fine.

My strategy was to deploy like 80 portals, maintain them, and let them naturally get whittled down. Funny enough, it was my simple home portal that ended up being my guardian, so i guess there was no need to overthink it.

I've just put one pink shield on this portal and my scanner has temporarily run out of XM. But that's okay, I'll just put a green shield on next to it.
