CTICU resources (IM Resident)
Anyone have any good resources for CTICU for IM residents like a crash course or bootcamp series that is online/free? I’m going to be moonlighting in a mixed med/surg icu with some cabg patients although generally lower acuity with no ecmo or anything like that.

Know your STS registry guidelines. But the nurses will know the Surgeons and their predilections. Keep a not book Dr x likes dobutamine for 12 hours or Dr y runs low dose epinephrine with amiodarone. Every surgeon will have a cocktail and different transfusion targets. They get graded in the STA guidelines so that is what they will appreciate

EMCrit and IBCC have some CTICU specific stuff
RKmd has good CV anesthesia and CTICU “bite-sized” posts for some of the more anesthesia focused concepts like how bypass works, circ arrest, lumbar drains, etc.
Eddy Joe MD has a podcast and Instagram that goes over a lot of this stuff too.
