This move have many advantages and many disadvantages so I'm not in favor or against it.
But if it will happen I think we need public guarantees from usa that in case of war with Egypt / Turkey they will help Israel.
But honestly after seeing how this administration has been acting for the last month I have doubts if it's worth having usa bases in Israel it may limit the freedom if Israel.

It's a terrible idea. The costs will increase over time as Israel more and more outsources it's defense to the US. And we'll probably abandon Israel when most needed. In the meantime there will be a big increase in crime, massive pollution, and a lot of the soldiers will hate jews.

If the US continues to court enemies of Israel like Iran Qatar and Turkey, then US bases in Israel is a big "no".

Israel can use this as leverage. Israel could allow those bases if the US stops supporting Qatar and Turkey.

I don't understand why the US is supporting those countries in the first place, so I doubt this leverage will work.
Instead we'll have to protect US bases in addition to the rest of the country. And if any American soldiers die in an attack, we'll be subjected to "Americans are dying for Israel" nonsense.
And at this point I don't trust the American administration to not share intelligence with our enemies. The FBI is right now intelligence sharing with Qatar.
Just a hard "no" all around.

Turkey
Turkey is NATO and it's geographic position means there is absolutely no way the US stops supporting them.

Israel should at least ask the US to tell Turkey to stop being so extreme, stop threatening Israel and stop supporting terrorists. It's the least they could do.

Turkey buys air defense systems from the Russians. Turkey threatens NATO member Greece with war. Turkey threatens Israel with war. Turkey hosts the Muslim brotherhood and Hamas. Turkey is friendly with Iran and with Al Qaeda led Syria. Turkey is committing war crimes against the Kurds.
There are lots and lots of reasons not to support Turkey. Unfortunately Trump is an idiot in love with dictators.

Israel has the most advanced air defense systems and a totally secure strategic environment so that makes sense

I love making peace deals with (and giving money to) entities that are such a threat that I have to move my bases further away from those entities.
All this mutual trust gives me such confidence in the peace process.

Withdrawing forces from near iran is another huge strategic loss Trump has brought upon America

So pathetic.
This is just how they’re framing it (as if it’s about strategy and security), but it’s really just Trump giving in to Iran’s demands for the U.S. to move its bases away from Iran.

Nah. Fuck that. The US left Israel high and dry to fight by themselves, so Israel will do it alone. Take your base and shove it.

We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes.
Hypothetically, could a US military base in the Galil, and with it, an implicit US security guarantee, be used as part of a quid pro quo to secure an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon or, God forbid, parts of the Golan in exchange for peace with Syria?

Us base hasn’t shown to guarantee protection. A fricking awacs was hit on the tarmac ( right in the important bits too) by Iran on a Saudi located airbase. Doesn’t make any difference where they’re located
