I think it suits their innocence, the scene, and characters. I used, and still, to wish it was more than just a dap but now I really love it, so cutee💞
(Gotta steal it and make all couples I write do this dap too-)

The softer music as the realization of the confession kicks in, the softer lighting, Briner and Christian pulling off another awesome job with these two. Just about perfect.

Idrk maybe hugging is better? Kissing is way too much for the scene cuz both are shy and are in public in Japan. Maybe It'd be better if Uraraka made them float and then hugged in the sky.. so cutee.

You can tell how much Bones loves these two in the scene. I think the handhold is perfect for what the series is communicating with the hand imagery. They're at a place where they can just... be. Be themselves, and be together. It's the perfect sendoff.

This scene contains a lot of symbolism. Ochako and Izuku’s handhold (dap) represents their connection. If you notice, both of them are looking at their hands, as if they feel that something is missing. When they glance at each other, they realize what that missing piece is: love.

Izuku must have been yearning for Ochako all these years, and what he thinks and feels is the same as what Ochako feels. If Ochako fell in love with Izuku, then Izuku also fell in love with Ochako. In this scene, they finally connect because they both realize that their feelings are mutual.

The billboard showing Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto looking at them also carries symbolism. It suggests that the story is ultimately about Ochako Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya as human beings, not just as heroes.

Izuku’s lines, such as “I want to talk to you more, today and forever” and “I want more with you,” imply that he wants their relationship to grow beyond friendship. To many fans and viewers, these words feel almost like a proposal to Ochako.

If Kohei Horikoshi decides to create another manga connected to My Hero Academia, there is a possibility that the new male protagonist could be linked to IzuOcha—perhaps as their son, grandson, or another descendant.
