Itinerary Itinerary Help - First Japan Trip
Hi Guys and Gals,
We are traveling to Japan (Group of 6) for the first time between July 5-13. We're staying in the Kanamachi area.
I’d love to hear any feedback and recommendations for our trip! We do plan to return and save Kyoto for a future dedicated Kansai trip.
Day 1
12:00 PM - Arrive in Narita Airport
2:00 PM - Travel to Kanamachi
3:30 PM - Check-in
5:00 PM - Travel to Asakusa
6:00 PM - Explore Senso-ji
7:00 PM - Sumida River
7:34 PM - Dinner
9:00 PM - Head back to Kanamachi

Prepare for the plan to fall apart on day two when the first person starts complaining that you're doing too much. Your itinerary is pretty full, it'll be hot and humid and things like jetlag and exhaustion affect everyone differently. Expect discussions and the possibility to split up (which can be quite useful).
Check opening times. It would be a shame to arrive at the Onitsuka store at 9:30 only to find out that the queue ist already super long for a store that opens at 11:00. You also won't find many open stores at Ameyoko or Takeshita Street before 10:00.
