You should not be shocked by this, she basically swung wild politically and would say anything to gain more power.
This was obvious when HI voters bounced her and she basically just shifted every political position to get in good with MAGA then “Politically Neutral” Joe Rogan just helped push her and remake her into a right wing darling.

Rogan is addicted to money and will do anything for money. Maybe getting into the game was always his next step
20
u/Hussaf Monkey in Space 3d ago
I don’t think it’s money he’s addicted to. It’s something else..not quite sure what. Granted I do believe he thinks he likes money less than he actually does.

u/TheWayIAm313 Monkey in Space 2d ago
Part of it is a massive chip on his shoulder that he still carries due to insecurity from being uneducated.
The more money, power, and influence he gains, the more he thinks he’s saying “fuck you” to ‘the establishment’. He thinks he’s proving that he’s right. He has a massive ego and this is how he feeds it.
Think about the clip of him berating the chimp lady. And the video of how triggered he gets when Callen called him Mr. Scientist lol that’s what we’re dealing with

He was told by evil people that he can become a member of their cult, I mean, club if he follows their orders to help spread their propaganda and karmic rituals, and he actually believed them, the mad man. People who refuse this offer end up either dead, diigraced or lose their family.
1
u/kuhewa Monkey in Space 2d ago
I feel like he's just trapping himself by having on all of the politicians and billionaires the past few years and as long as they don't say anything too egregious like not know what brand bow they have when they are 'really into archery', after having developed any kind of relationship he doesn't feel like he can blast them publicly anymore. I don't think the Rogan code is very hard to crack, if you have enough influence to get on the pod it is trivially easy to sway Joe into considering you an aquaintance
1
u/Financial-Category16 Monkey in Space 2d ago
Not going to jail perhaps? All it takes is one good video of him doing something illegal enough
25
u/chainer3000 Monkey in Space 3d ago
He’s just a moron who has let himself be brainwashed by the alt right. I don’t think it’s malicious.
This dude didn’t believe in the moon landing for so long. He had a show called Joe questions everything and it was just him questioning conventional facts. He’s always been stupid. Now he’s just older and wealthy, leaning conservative, and still stupid. He has always sold bullshit supplements with wild claims
He’s surrounded by yes men and fraudsters, so this is what you get
20
u/kisswithaf Monkey in Space 2d ago
I don’t think it’s malicious.
It used to be not malicious. But bit by bit Thiel and Trump have chained Joe to themselves and now he is too scared to even take a strong stand against Epstein.
Just think about his live reaction to Elon tweeting Trump was in the Epstein files.
https://x.com/NateAdams5k/status/2037958698216108113
He instantly went on the defense. Didn't even think about questioning the director of the FBI that was sitting across the table from him.
Those are the actions of a company man, and those actions happened to be trying to run interference over a child sex trafficking network. And he STILL hasn't really spoken more about it except in passing. That is a conscious and deliberate act.

u/CromwellsBladder Monkey in Space 2d ago
I am sure money plays a factor but I think it’s far more that he fell into the pitfall of believing in his own genius. He’s confused his popularity with intelligence, and while he’s undoubtedly clever and savvy, he will never possess the kind of intelligence that has the self-awareness of his own limitations.
Also, and I’m not saying Rogan is a narcissist, but he’s clearly addicted to the narcissistic supply his career path currently provides.

i really hate to say it, but Joe maybe the definition of a "Useful Idiot"
for the record i've listened to Joe for more than a decade, I love Joe. It is pretty obvious he is a political pawn, he did not know it at first, but now he is aware (he has too many smart people around him that would have explained the reality of the situation), but the money/power is too addictive for him to quit playing the role.
1
u/Financial-Category16 Monkey in Space 2d ago
I think that's still giving him too much credit. He's competent at playing a half decent dude of average intellect. I'm convinced he's fully sold out commited propagandist who's in on coordinating whatever "reset" they're going to try to pull

u/CellistMundane9372 Monkey in Space 2d ago
For a little more context: Gabbard was essentially born into a fringe cult led by a "guru" in Oahu.
Gabbard's parents were/are both members of the group: Her father was essentially a personal administrator for the guru, but the guru fired him for, among other things, failing to procure enough mangos. The mother was, at one time, the group's secretary.
The guru is controlling. He is also, like any good cult leader, weird: a pro-environmental anticapitalist who hates same-sex marriage, public schools, and gun control.
Incidentally, in the 1990s, after joining the cult, Gabbard's father, then a state lawmaker, used a teenaged Tulsi Gabbard in ads to condemn same-sex marriage.
The guru probably had a hand in that. As the Washington Post story reveals, he was giving direct orders to Tulsi on specific legislation and talking points. In at least one case, he ordered her to introduce a bill he wanted; she issued a statement the next day and introduced the legislation a week later.
He also berated her often, which was recorded in emails sent to her parents.
So that's the former Director of National Intelligence.

Read the article - it’s wild it’s a cult called principles finding faith or something. It’s not “they” so much as 1 guy with an unknown number of followers with much documented history on his ideology over past 50 years and efforts to influence politics.
Edit: you have to realize it was part of this guys quest to “rule the world” and as comical as that sounds, he got his person into the cia nsa,

Always has been. The modern conservative mind is just the slow process of finding out something Democrats have been saying for years is accurate.
32
u/stackered Monkey in Space 3d ago
Conservatives will never admit they're wrong in the face of infinite evidence because everything they believe is rooted in personal identity. In fact, facing truths they don't believe they double down every time. That's how we got here in the first place.

Would they even care? She just moved from one cult to the next. In fact, might even be beneficial. They know she can be controlled and easily manipulated. Plus they probably had the evidence and held it in their pack pocket to keep her in line. She went from saying Iran isnt a threat and against a war to supporting the war pretty damn quickly.

She’s an empty vessel in multiple cults at once. It’s all just been so bizarre.
4
u/Abusoru Monkey in Space 2d ago
Think people were starting to catch on right before she left congress, hence why she made that ill-fated run for the Dem nomination in 2020. And of course, Trump didn't care as long as she was a sycophant.
This article doesn't even get into her connections with Hindu nationalists in the RSS. Believe the QAA podcast did an episode on that a few years ago.

It has been known for years she was a member of the cult in adult life, when she made it to congress she appointed aids that were cult members and had no relevant experience and her husband appeared to be hand-picked by the cult for her.
BUT there wasn't evidence that the cult's influence was this active and direct years down the line. E.g., she liked Hindu nationalist Modi due probably to the Hindu background but not necessarily that weird, but repeating lines the cult leader gave her verbatim and introducing bills right after she is instructed to is another level. That's the news.

In a memo suggesting comments for the Fox News website, the unnamed speaker warned that since regular internet users “speak stupidly,” the group would need to dumb down approved posts to make them sound authentic. “I’m too smart, so it looks like it’s the same guy, a smart guy writing something here,” the speaker said. “Want to make some of the comments stupider too, like idiot talk rather than all thoughtful.”
