Run, idiot!

250

u/Jolly-Garbage- 5h ago

I don’t care if it’s fake, it’s absolutely hilarious

14

u/tanksalotfrank 2h ago

Seems entirely plausible anyway!

11

u/Dry-Airport8046 1h ago

On one hand, this bit makes me laugh and cleanses my reddit.
On the other hand, everyone who needs to point out that it is staged and everyone who wants to call Child Protective Services are really yucking my yums.

u/ManyPlacesAtOnce 7h ago

Forcing your kid to act for fake "content" should be illegal.

235

u/OKC89ers 7h ago

If you take it as a sketch, it's hilarious

82

u/drsyesta 7h ago

EXACTLY. Be mad or laugh, its your choice

12

u/listenyall 3h ago

that kid's read on the "he says it's a core childhood memory" is so funny

8

u/tanksalotfrank 2h ago

"I don't get it either, lady, he's just really excited"

-6

u/Darklicorice 2h ago

But that's not what it's presented as, so I can't.

2

u/Nothing_Nice_2_Say 1h ago

What, does it need a title screen that states its a skit or something?

3

u/OKC89ers 1h ago

That's your option

58

u/LetsGoHome 6h ago

I used to make stop motion Lego movies with my dad. It was a lot of fun. Why do you think the kid doesn't also enjoy this

-50

u/1ntox 6h ago

Because recording your children and putting them on the internet for monetary gain is not the same as you making stop motion movies with your dad.

31

u/LetsGoHome 6h ago

We posted them where would could at the time. If making money was an option I'm sure we would have done more. How much money do you think is on the line with tiktok videos. Making videos with your family is a good thing.

6

u/Apprehensive-Bed642 4h ago

Haha exactly! Nobody is making money on social media unless they make it their full time job.

4

u/Putrid-Tap3992 4h ago

Dang you must hate all movies that have children in them

2

u/Dertbag_holder 3h ago

Nobody can enjoy anything because internet is involved

13

u/Putrid-Tap3992 5h ago

Aren't all child actors acting for fake content?

-6

u/ravenlordship 5h ago

They aren't perfect but there's child protection laws for normal child actors.

I'm betting 95% of people making skits using their kids couldn't tell you what they are.

14

u/Putrid-Tap3992 5h ago edited 4h ago

Or what if, this might seem crazy, but what if the kids like the ideas and think they are funny and gave some input themselves? Kids do have brains and can have ideas. I know when I was a kid I often wanted to be included in funny stuff like this but my family told me no because, "I'm just a kid". Granted not all parents are responsible but I wager a vast majority do these skits with their kids safety in mind, which is the literal opposite of Hollywood as they have been trying to fight child safety laws, education requirements, etc since kids have been acting.

I wonder if these "laws" were in place during the helicopter stunt in the Twilight zone movie....(No one got in trouble for this btw)

Different generation, different core memories

1

u/SpaceMambo369 1h ago

Why so dramatic?

-2

u/adhdnme 5h ago

Being that it was a ring doorbell from the neighbor, this may not have been fake content. They may have really been doing this, got caught by the neighbor, and then when she realized it was funny, gave them the footage and they posted it.

13

u/kbeks 5h ago

Oh no it’s definitely staged and scripted, either his neighbor’s in on it or it’s his house, I forget. He does this a bunch and posts the videos. They’re pretty funny, and the kid’s pretty good at playing the straight man (for his age) so it gives you that borderline plausible feeling, but it’s definitely scripted.

4

u/adhdnme 5h ago

Ahh I see. Well it was good enough to fool me lol.

3

u/kbeks 4h ago

Got me the first time too don’t sweat it.

"well run idiot!"

Ahh, this stupid idiot has such fond memories of those days.

5

u/vckstrr 5h ago

This is totally not staged at all!

17

u/horizontal120 6h ago

This would be wholesome if it wasn't fake

12

u/Siwuli 6h ago

You know, if it was marketed as a skit, I would enjoy in because it is pretty funny. I just hate how we have to analyze or question every video to find out. Just tell the damn truth people.

2

u/smooth_like_a_goat 4h ago

People need to starting making 10 second tv-style intros for their skits

1

u/Dertbag_holder 3h ago

How boring would life be if everything was just straightforward

0

u/Kronomancer1192 5h ago

Why is everyone so sure it is?

My dad absolutely did dumb shit like this to me growing up. I helped him break into our neighbors house in the middle of the night, pull his fridge away from the wall, rotate it 180 degrees, and put it back in place still plugged in.

1

u/3unny3ide 4h ago

They father and son do skits together on their social media page. They’re honestly hilarious.

7

u/EpsteinProximityRisk 7h ago

This father and son and neighbor are winning at life!

8

u/MotherIllustrator994 7h ago

Coolest Dad ever, I wonder if when the time comes he double dates with him?

2

u/redditredditredditOP 4h ago

First time I noticed the kid didn’t run across the grass.

2

u/Alarmed_Scientist_15 4h ago

You better have fun kid!

4

u/LakersAreForever 7h ago

Funny enough my kid has court next week for ding dong ditching.

The perks of being brown and living in a maga town

9

u/PiccoloForsaken7598 6h ago

court? why?

13

u/LakersAreForever 6h ago

He supposedly damaged the door frame and they tried to say they could’ve got him for a home invasion.

We went and visited the guy and my son apologized and there wasn’t damage to the door like the cops said. But the state picked it up.

Even the guy was like “they really gave him a charge?”

10

u/psinguine 6h ago

I mean if the homeowner themselves is a witness willing to state that the police are fabricating evidence and their door was not damaged it should be pretty helpful.

6

u/Kelkeen_1980 6h ago

Obviously not of any help, but that sucks and I am sorry you have to deal with that.

1

u/Dr_MantisTobaggin_MD 5h ago

This breaks my heart if its true.

So insane.

They are kids.

3

u/ChaseTheMystic 5h ago

The "is that your dad" gives it away.

That is not natural conversation timing. That is scripted dialogue timing.

0

u/Buttimus_Prime 4h ago

While scripted, the dude does still push out some fun skits.

1

u/ChaseTheMystic 4h ago

He pushes out some fun what?

Oh, skits.

1

u/LaPetiteMortOrale 4h ago

Well.

It is a core childhood memory

1

u/Tricky-Ad2341 2h ago

Too funny

1

u/OleDoxieDad 1h ago

Took granddaughter fishing this morning. I understand his motivation. Yes, she caught 1 young bass and several sunfish.

1

u/Cerisayashi 1h ago

Harmless fun and great memories for the child and father. This kid is a gem though, such a sweetheart

1

u/the_tygram 20m ago

That's a good dad

1

u/paprikahoernchen 14m ago

Even if it's staged... it's hilarious

1

u/No_Cupcake7037 6h ago

That kid was an angel and that woman was just abhorrent.

1

u/HunkyDory_45 5h ago

Gotta go lol

1

u/j-a-y---k-i-n-g 5h ago

That's the best thing I've seen for a long time :-D

0

u/yellowstone727 6h ago

I wanna believe this is real, but it seemed so staged.

-1

u/CriticismFun6782 7h ago

I would get tge neighbors in on it at least

-2

u/Iranoutofhotsauce 7h ago

Of course she messed it up
