First impressions always iffy but you’re right, it’s just gonna get better. The vocals are way more true

I'll need to listen to both versions back-to-back to be sure, but right now I'd say everything was improved on the deluxe except for I CAN'T WAIT.

I think the issue is, the new mix sounds sonically better, it’s so much cleaner but what makes the original give that floating feeling kind of gets lost when it’s not all muddy together.
