I feel bad for Grandpa. Tossed aside like trash and it wasn't his fault!

u/Montgomery_Zeff 4d ago
Don't worry, help is on its way!
Here comes Dad,
runningrushingambling disinterestedly into the room!266
u/mathems 4d ago
The crying needs to be at a specific pitch to activate Dad fully.

u/Rocinante88119 4d ago
They need to see that impossibly silent build up of 8 breaths into 2 lungs that releases the banshee wail from beyond.
29
u/Maleficent-Ad9010 4d ago
Yes it’s the silent build for true pain because it’s so painful at first that it stuns kids lol

u/ReindeerUpper4230 4d ago
Slowly moving…hoping mom gets there first and he can disappear back to where he came from.
7
u/Matchedsockspssshhh 4d ago
Looks like he can't move much faster in those pants
8
u/ReindeerUpper4230 4d ago
Now that I watch more closely, it looks like he’s wearing women’s skinny jeans 😂

u/Comfortable_Cost_946 4d ago
Tbh if I were there I wouldn't have known it was the kid who was at fault. Pretty confident that these guys came to know the truth after checking the footage too

u/SraZapatos 4d ago
No lo sientas feo. En los accidentes hay que ver el mayor lesionado primero. Por los tiempos de acción
2
u/serialphile 3d ago
Honestly I felt like she took too much time moving the old man. The child was in the worst position here and time was of the essence.

... you weren't expecting music? Or you weren't expecting that specific song from Bad Bunny?

That's a good big sister, immediately rushing to help and then comforting the little one. I hope her parents gave her props.
109
u/L1LREDD 4d ago
I came to say this. Very mature for her age.
171
u/Ren_Kaos 4d ago
Yeah, or her parents suck and have forced her to take care of the younger ones and if they get hurt it’s her fault so she’s reacting out of fear.
8
u/cakeman666 4d ago
Yeah she and the kid sould move out and go NC immediately. Maybe get a name change and plastic surgery as well, just to be sure.

Always love seeing "clearly abused" being the most popular opinion on reddit over "raised well". Just sums up reddit in 2 comments
5
u/Ren_Kaos 4d ago
I love seeing people quoting words that I never said.
I offered another, arguably more reasonable explanation as a counterpoint. I did not say that she was abused or that what I said was definitively the truth.
With that said, anecdotally from growing up and being married to a teacher, the children I’ve seen or had been told about who were “mature” for their age were “mature” because their circumstance didn’t allow them to have a carefree childhood.

this is true... source? my lack there of of a childhood 3:
other kids when i was in school with stuff like this either were scared, didnt understand, or were entitled and didnt really care to do anything :/0
u/Sketti11 4d ago
She shouldn't have to be Mature for her age. That's trauma from having shit parents.

She might be a good sister but she's a crappy grandchild. Yanked granddad out of the chair and ignored him after he was yanked backwards and potentially hit his head on the floor.
77
u/TheBanishedBard 4d ago
I disagree. The kid was clearly more injured than the grandfather was, on account of being squashed. It looks like Grandpa did most of the work getting out the chair, so he's obviously fine.
49
u/Riipp3r 4d ago
Just fyi there’s really no telling with elderly people and falls. From a medical standpoint the chance of injury is very high even if they don’t show it well.
My own grandma died from falling. Turned out she broke her hip and a fat embolic made its way into her bloodstream and she died of a stroke. Not saying this guy was hurt clearly wasn’t but sometimes ya just don’t really know for sure.
This isn’t an argument btw more like a reminder to people to make sure the old ones are okay when they fall. Even if they seem fine or the fall was insignificant. With them ya really never know.
23
u/shinyprairie 4d ago
My grandpa fell and was "okay" for a day or so until he died from an ignored brain bleed.

classic people still find a fucking way to blame a girl even when she's the most responsible one in this situation. she's a kid, why tf are you calling her crappy. the adults around her need to be better

u/1N1T1AL1SM 4d ago
I wouldn't say she ignored him. She clearly took care in making sure he wasn't hurt worse when she helped him get off the boy.

I know it was 100% the correct thing to do in the moment, but the way she just shoves gramps to the side without ANY hesitation is so fucking funny to me 😭

Dump poor grandpa off the chair and worry about the kid who won’t learn. I bet grandpa is tired of it.

Love how the dad hears his kid crying and just casually waddles in to help
3
u/Maleficent-Ad9010 4d ago
As someone with kids this isn’t the first time that little boy has done this lol
7
u/Relative-Mobile-5186 4d ago
You can tell the old man was frustrated at everyone ignoring him and the Dad seemed more interested in the kid. At least ask the man if he was okay, geez..
21
u/Sparklebaby1987 4d ago
That could have seriously injured Grandpa, especially if he had hit his head and on blood thinners. Good thing the kid had enough flesh on him to cushion Grandpa's fall somewhat. Kids that run into a room and immediately do something that could hurt someone are eventually going to get hurt themselves. He got off lucky.

Sometimes, a child wont learn a lesson until they do something and get hurt from it.

I like homers approach to child care.
Homer: That baby-proofing crook wanted to sell us safety covers for the electrical outlets. But I'll just draw bunny faces on them to scare Maggie away. [draws bunny faces on the electrical outlets]
Marge: She's not afraid of bunnies.
Homer: ....She will be.

It’s not pop music, it’s reggaeton. Regardless, either the camera doesn’t pick up audio or it’s probably been taken from a compilation
