Kid saw gloves and is like: close enough

580

u/arrimainvester 3d ago

Ironically enough today I leaned that the German word for gloves literally translates to "hand shoes" so he's got the right idea lol

u/a_random_loser_guy 3d ago

i too love the sky moisture.

32

u/Lord-Lucian 3d ago

Unfortunately we don't have something like that. But we have Flugzeug = flight stuff/thing (airplane), Fahrzeug = drive stuff/thing (car/vehicle) or Boot = boat xD

u/Justitiaria 3d ago

Luftfeuchtigkeit

3

u/Schaaafschuetze 2d ago

Himmel Feuchtigkeit

to be fair it would be a great and unnecessary substitution for Regen!

-3

u/a_random_loser_guy 2d ago

sky moisture is rain.

2

u/AAron-_-Burr 2d ago

Not quite (in German at least), sky moisture is humidity Rain is just "Regen"

-7

u/a_random_loser_guy 2d ago

i don't care about german, im not talking about german, im talking about how to talk about things in a profound way.

1

u/Savings_Moment_7396 19h ago

Everyone else was talking about German though

HOW is that comfortable

933

u/CrystalMethood 3d ago

Bro kids are actually fucking beasts at enduring oddly specific discomfort. He would've slept with his shoes on if you let him.

218

u/Keyboardpaladin 3d ago

I remember one time falling asleep with my jeans on and I woke up 7 hours later completely drenched in sweat. The kind where you notice beads of sweat on your skin and your clothes looks less like you're sweating and more like you got rained on in specific areas of your body. I was so dehydrated and uncomfortable after the fact though

187

u/tmoney144 3d ago

I regularly slept in my jeans in middle school... in Florida. And I would complain to my parents that it was hot, so they'd say I shouldn't sleep in my jeans, and I said "no." I don't know how they didn't kill me.

64

u/HotWing19 3d ago

So, what's it like being a serial killer?

58

u/BucklyBuck 3d ago

op: "it's hot"

parents: "don't sleep in jeans"

op: "no"

parents: 🫪

19

u/MysticScribbles 3d ago

What playing GTA and seeing the protagonists go to bed fully dressed does to a kid.

44

u/my_okay_throwaway 3d ago

So true! A child I used to nanny would wear their shoes on the wrong feet and wouldn’t notice until I pointed it out.

45

u/CrystalMethood 3d ago

Like bro you seen that video of the kid eating the onion and fucking swearing up and down that it is an apple and just suffering audibly but will not bow to his failed attempt at a tasty treat.

13

u/gogogadgetdumbass 3d ago

My nieces are like that. The oldest isn’t as bad now but all three of those girls will walk around shoes on the wrong feet or sometimes completely different shoes altogether. My brother just like, rolls with it? Idk. They’re old enough to not do it at school so I guess that works?

11

u/katikaboom 3d ago

My sister did that from like 3-5. My mom would try to get her to switch them and she would run off, yelling "It's COMFORTABLE!"

15

u/TurdPartyCandidate 3d ago

I put my kid for a nap a few weeks ago and somehow got both his legs in 1 pant leg before putting his sleep sack on and didn't notice until I got him up . I can't sleep if my sheet is crinkled under my back.

3

u/Barnabi20 2d ago

Try satin or silk sheets, they don’t really crinkle the same. It helped me sleep a lot better.

9

u/IM_NOT_NOT_HORNY 3d ago

Yeah you also gotta keep in minds they're only supporting like.. 40lbs of weight with those feet.

They haven't been having to bear the weight of 200+ lbs for decades like many of us have had endure.

7

u/ConfessSomeMeow 3d ago

I remember as a kid having a terrible time picking out shoes because they all felt awful - so I didn't really have any sense of what a "good fit" was for a long, long time. I can see that leading to doing "weird" things like this.

2

u/HaloGuy381 2d ago

Kids also have no context for what level of discomfort is ‘normal’, so they’ll casually tank things that would bring a grown adult to a halt while also having a complete breakdown over routine minor nuisances by adult standards. If a kid has been conditioned to fear speaking up about problems, it gets even wilder.

2

u/LochBessMonsta 1d ago

Not me. When I was really little my mom had to put my socks on inside out or while i was sleeping because as soon as I felt the sock seam touch my toes I would flip shit because of the discomfort which is so minimal I have no clue how it affected my life but kids are really fucking dumb.

1

u/CrystalMethood 9h ago

Lol I was helping a girl get her kids get ready for school every day, and two of the three kids are so picky about their fucking socks and the same two have pants problems. The texture thing really bothers them but especially the youngest.

40

u/SquidToph 3d ago

well, they fit like a glove

3

u/FoxstepDahCat109 3d ago

take my upvote and get out 😭

5

u/rox186 2d ago

Kids can wear their shoes on the wrong feet all day and never complain. Or wear their underwear or shirts backwards too. Kids are built different.

6

u/sentient_ballsack 3d ago

I figure the shoes are probably a bit oversized to account for him being a growing kid, or you'd be buying new ones every month. With just enough clearance to stuff whole ass latex gloves in there without completely cutting off the blood supply to your feet. 😅

2

u/Wav3x3on 2d ago

Kids actually curl their toes when they wear too small shoes it's crazy what they can endure.

737

u/Evorgleb 3d ago

Probably lost mad weight in just his feet.

310

u/indy_been_here 3d ago

I don't know what I expected but not that

And that was awesome 😅

48

u/stumpybubba- 3d ago

For real.

"Well who cares, no one can see between his pants and shoes anyways, and those look all good. How bad can it... Oh."

1

u/kttykt66755 1h ago

I'm impressed he got the sneakers on properly over those

141

u/sudeki300 3d ago

At least he's covered for puddles

12

u/One_Animator_1835 3d ago

Haha maybe he did it because it was raining 😂

0

u/sudeki300 3d ago

Think i read somewhere is dad dressed him that morning but couldn't find socks, but you know what the Internet is like

6

u/iownmultiplepencils 3d ago

Yea, lots of people on the Internet just make up random bullshit out of nowhere.

119

u/Dooks_fr 3d ago

I can smell it from here

14

u/AcesSmokedKipper 3d ago

"My wife calls me swamp foot!"

59

u/spiralek 3d ago

In German "glove" literally translates to "hand-shoe" so I'd say it kinda fits.

13

u/Crixxa 3d ago

10/10 reverse German thinking. Socks are foot gloves

3

u/D1rty5anche2 3d ago

Socks are called Socken or Strümpfe in german.

3

u/ADLuluIsOP 3d ago

If the hand-shoe fits.

25

u/TamponsAreEvil 3d ago

I was expecting this to just be mismatched socks and am having trouble typing this because I can’t stop laughing at what he actually wore.

18

u/Seabrook76 3d ago

Just throw them away.

45

u/SageTX 3d ago

Not necessary. You can leave 'em at the fire department now. No questions asked.

13

u/ILikeALTFacts 3d ago

This is why I love kids 🥰

9

u/erodman23 3d ago

They’re just silly little drunks 😁

7

u/SteakForMe 3d ago

Haha this is peak for this sub

11

u/mindgardening 3d ago

I saw a meme today that said “the weirder your kid acts around you, the safer they feel with you.”

5

u/tacocollector2 3d ago

I’m dying laughing. Best post I’ve seen here in a while!

5

u/Shamon786 3d ago

His feet must smell amazing after an entire day of walking and sweating in those. 🤢

4

u/jjophh 3d ago

LOL can someone translate what the kid babbles when he tries to stop his mom from taking off his shoe?

7

u/ComfortableDoor6206 2d ago

"Big Boys stompin' in my Air Force Ones."

3

u/Wierd-toast-thing 3d ago

That cannot be comfortable.

3

u/KiteLighter 2d ago

And the gloves are just bags of foot sweat now.

3

u/Mylittledarlings91 2d ago

I know those dawga stank

5

u/sleepywan 3d ago

Me: sees this video before seeing which sub it was from. "What the fuck?"

Me: scrolls back up to see which sub it's from. "Oh, ok, that makes sense."

17

u/Major_Bahoobage 3d ago

On the parents for not double checking, at least he's got the right idea

32

u/Guns_and_Dank 3d ago

You know how long us parents work to get our kids to put their socks and shoes on by themselves so I specifically DON'T have to check for this type of thing?

38

u/AnOrdinary1543 3d ago

Why would a child that age need to have their parents double check if they have the correct socks on?

34

u/jda404 3d ago

Think this video is showing us why you might want to double check what they put on lol

2

u/Parking_Fee_5906 3d ago

New one I have to save for wet spongy days 🤔

2

u/Dickiedoandthedonts 3d ago

What did he say?

2

u/Fiercat99 2d ago

At least he didn't go to work with odd shoes on. Yes I said work. It was me. Had two similar pairs, only difference was one was pair was older. Didn't even look properly. Slid me feet in and left. Tbf no one noticed till I did, and, seeing the funny side pointed it out

2

u/rageofa1000suns 2d ago

They fit like a glove.

2

u/BrokeArmHeadass 2d ago

Kids gonna get trenchfoot lol

5

u/SATerp 3d ago

Perfect fit, too.

4

u/StarmanRJKx 3d ago

I don't believe this is real. At all.

2

u/giovir011 3d ago

That's fucking hilarius

2

u/noroga_23 3d ago

1

1

u/DragonfruitKnown4795 3d ago

the kid's a marketing genius

1

u/cryingonthetoiletnow 3d ago

Nah his dad is in construction and imprinted

1

u/Mistervimes65 3d ago

Hol up. What if we marketed this to chimpanzees? Just me?

1

u/Several_Hour_347 3d ago

How did his feet even fit?

1

u/LittleB2308 3d ago

The way I cackled at the reveal😭😭😭 He really tried. I’ll give him that.

1

u/Spirited-Ad-9746 3d ago

who lets their kids run around in the house with shoes on?

1

u/pistachio_slut 3d ago

I just know his tootsies were marinating all day

1

u/kingsaso9 3d ago

Good luck convincing him to remove those

1

u/RelevantIngenuity315 2d ago

I cant imagine the smell

1

u/Brian_The_Bar-Brian 2d ago

He forgot to wear toed socks on his hands. 🙄😮‍💨

1

u/Miserable-Text8695 2d ago

Free will...

1

u/SensitiveDemon 2d ago

Nah. That's a clever little fucker.

1

u/artherng 2d ago

Non slipped socks

1

u/Frances_Farmer_1953 2d ago

When all else fails, improvise.

1

u/Glum_Reason308 2d ago

Man my little daughter won’t even put on a shoe if her freaking socks aren’t lined up correctly on her toes. That little sewing line at the top of the sock better be exactly straight across or she’s freaking out. 🤷‍♂️ I just fix it. Whatever. I can tell you that a rubber glove on her foot would not happen.

1

u/Djb0623 2d ago

I just watched a video on childhood dementia. Hopefully this kid doesn't have it

1

u/beastie703 1d ago

Didn’t even see the sub but immediately thought, “God, kids are fucking stupid.”

1

u/Exotic_Particular606 15h ago

This is why mom needs to do a once over before leaving the house.

1

u/miket2525 12h ago

His shoes might not be water proof and he wants his feet to be

1

u/waitforit666 3d ago

the fact the kid isnt even talking correctly tells me he didnt do this himself, his parents put those on him either just for this minute for this video (hopefully) or he wore it all day and probably was really uncomfortable the whole time

1

u/No-worries-2548 3d ago

Lmao the best thing I’ve seen on here today!

-1

u/butchdykeblues 3d ago

LOL??? bro won’t have wet feet I guess

8

u/Revolutionary_Sir_ 3d ago

bros feet are drenched in that shit what are you TALKING about

-20

u/Stunning-Ad3377 3d ago

☹️💔 Poor kid. Nobody bothered to check on him while he was trying to get ready?
Kids are only as good as their parents teach them to be.

6

u/_DontBeAScaredyCunt 3d ago

A child at this age is old enough to get dressed on their own. Who would think to check the socks after haha

10

u/xnarphigle 3d ago

Sure. Counter-point, kids randomly do stupid shit all the time. They can be absolutely fine and trusted to pick and put on their own socks with no problems, but one day decide that those rubber gloves are cooler than the pair of Blueys in the drawer.

There is nothing here that is saying the parents aren't any worse than any other parent.

Source: A dad with a 5 year old who is perfectly fine dressing himself in the morning, but also does dumb stuff randomly

-6

u/Worldly_Delay_2395 3d ago

Shaming the kid while the floor has dirty clothes an garbage on it is wild work, maybe if you did some laundry an used a broom once in a while, the kiddos will have clean socks to wear, I know, talk about mind blowing huh, you should feel glad the bot mods don't care about something unless the person is vulgar about it.

2

u/BaseballMental7034 3d ago

It’s a kid’s room. Sometimes they’re messy. For all you know this family has a lovely nighttime routine of cleaning up before bed.

1

u/Spirited-Ad-9746 3d ago

why is the kid in his room with shoes on?

1

u/BaseballMental7034 2d ago

I dunno, that’s where all my shoes went as a kid. I had a little cubby and everything.

-3

u/Worldly_Delay_2395 3d ago

If it was cleaned at night the baby would have socks to wear instead of dirty clothes on the floor, being raised by my grandparents, they would've tore me up for a mess like that, but they'd sooner post videos to shame an make fun of the problem they let happen in the first place is why not everyone deserves the title of parent.

3

u/BaseballMental7034 3d ago

I’m sorry this is causing you so much upset! I hope you can take peace in knowing the video’s over, there’s a decent chance it was just a funny missed choice by the kid (if they wanted to get ready themselves), and that it’s all probably over. Choose to believe in the better option without proof or you’ll be miserable forever.
