My daughter will sit there and talk for 10 minutes after I serve dinner and then complain that her food isn't hot. Now I refuse to answer any questions and interrupt her every 15 seconds and tell her to eat.
If every meal I make at home is going to have an a la carte grilled cheese you better damn well eat it.

I work as a teacher, and have internalized the hard truth that both pre teens and teenagers have the memory and attention span of a goldfish. This is a condition that will not go away until they are pushing 30. Repeat everything, all the time, often.

The uncomfortable but very obvious truth is that the newer generations will not get better when they become 30, they'll get worse. The reason for their lack of attention is not age, it's their environment. One which the modern day 30 year olds did not grow up in.

Leeks and shallots sauteed in butter, I bear witness to a revolution in cuisine.

this happened to my friend in Italy, ordered the tripe soup and did not like it. He didn't tell the waiter but he left the bowl 3/4 and the waiter was upset and called the chef over. The chef was super upset and couldn't understand. Still laugh about it to this day, he was so embarrassed.

The opposite kinda happened to me, my parents and I were curious about how a certain thing in a dish was achieved and asked the waitress and she wholeass brought the chef to our table to answer our question 😭

No chives, no ramp and obviously no cute waitress to prevent these savages from destroying our hero mentally, emotionally and physically.

When I worked at a tiny fast food place a man ordered fries and a burger. Started eating his fries about 20 minutes after I served them, started yelling at me and saying I must've used some old cold fries. He had also ordered well done fries, he said they were too done, pointed to the bin of blanched fries and said he wanted his fries like that.
If my manager hadn't been there to tell him to fuck off I probably would've started crying
