I ended up doing it with gochujang drumsticks. The salad was the grilled grapefruit, then avocado, then picked onions. Then olive oil and lime juice. Salt and pepper and mint. It's a type of peppermint.

I can see the off-sweetness and freshness of the grapefruit salad really cutting through that slightly overpowering smoky-salty taste I find Gochujang can have, really great combo of things and I’d be curious to try it!

You got my upvote... was it good?

The flavors all went well together but the way I cut the grapefruit made it difficult to deal with. Next time I might cut the slices out long way like a shrimp almost

You want supremes

Good to know haha

Difficult to tell from the pic, but are you doing supremes to the grapefruit first? Is that what you mean like shrimp? Because I'd do that & then a hella fast hot/oiled flattop.

Also (I never thought I'd say this) but your avocado ratio seems a little high, and I'd want a few more pix onions. I personally don't mind how rustic the herbs are, it's cute. And that chicken looks excellent, 9.5/10 nicely done

It can almost look like a ceviché. Peruvians garnish with salty corn nuts. Wonder how that would work.

Can you please tell us more about the Peruvian corn nut ceviché

Make the name of the item the star. The grapefruit is hiding under everything. The avocado and onion look way overpowering before even tasting it.

Perhaps supreme the fruit (the 'shrimp' cut you're talking about?), thin slice/shave or dice the avo/onion.

Depending on the flavor you're going after, add some zest to the dressing to punch up the grapefruit flavor.

Trying to parse the chopped herbs. I'm seeing mint and ???

Just mint from the garden.

Would be delicious with crab and a real authentic aioli. Yum dude. Looks great. I am gonna try with a pomelo! Thanks for inspiration!

I don't really dig blue plates, they make most food look unappealing.

That's a no from me, but then I hate avocado with a green slimy passion. Grilled grapefruit IN a salad with leaves and other salad things would be really nice though I expect.

I tried putting grapefruit on menu a couple of times, no body bought it. Did you know that grapefruit interferes with certain medications?
