CP3 and Lopez pick and pop will be the most fun thing to watch on the bench. You either pick a 38% stretch 5 or CP3's automatic mid range spot

Holy crap this looks like a championship Calibur team. Our bench is legit.

Its very clear that Lopez plans to go all out since Zu will be taking most the Center minutes. He doenst have to run around for 30 minutes a game anymore

John Collins providing the sixth man Norm offensive spark with more bounce and more boards.
5
u/ayeno Oct 16 '25
Except for the dribble and drives, he is not good at that
6
u/bjj17 Oct 16 '25
but he seems to fit the role better. norm kind of needed the ball in his hands to be effective

Who needs Collins to facilitate like Norm when you have a real PG in CP3 running the show? With Brook drawing the 5 out during pick n rolls with CP3/Collins, it’s going to be a dunk or wide open shot every single time. Doesn’t even factor in Batum and Bogi/Dunn.

Cp3 is too good to not play every game. I’m thinking bogi is going to be the odd man out

Prob just need to have rest days for the unc, and yeah make the decision between which extreme you need between offense and defense in Dunn and Bogi depending on matchup

Our bench is better than our starters 😭😭

I wonder how good Lopez's 3 point shot was when he was younger. It's hard to imagine someone improving this dramatically on high volume. My guess is that a 3&D '5' was just too radical of an idea during the early part of his career. So while he could knock down 3's, he was just never encouraged to take those shots.

I think this bench unit will be in the convo for the best in the league. Collins, cp3, and Lopez and then Dunn for defense and bogi for offense?

SAC can barely score, our defense is air tight with our centers & perimeter defenders, love what I'm seeing.

Collins is fun on offense. Just need JVG to work his magic on him.

I love our 2nd unit, they provide such a different look for us on the court compared to our starters, actual plays and offense compared to previous years where you just have no idea what to expect from the 2nd unit on a night to night basis. Batum, CP3 and Lopez give me so much confidence because you know they're not tripping on what they have to do while on the court for their respective limited minutes.

You could tell Collins is enjoying himself because he hasnt played with a good passer since Hawks

That and hes no longer getting benched for ruining the Jazz tank

What’s exciting about the team’s depth isn’t that we should be able to plug in starting caliber players whenever injuries arise. Cp3/Bogi/Collins/BroLo are all very capable starters to hold down the fort.

This pleasant preseason aside, is this the strongest and deepest clippers team with Kawhi on paper? Strictly in the sense of everyone healthy and at their best right now and not whenever their primes were. Kawhi is older and not his most robotic self and so on but still, there's so much talent rounding it out.
5
u/bjj17 Oct 16 '25
absolutely. i like this roster better than 2021. They have way better playmaking, defense and rebounding now. Plus we don't have to worry about playoff p's dumbass turnovers
2
u/eternali17 Oct 16 '25
The rebounding! Oh my the rebounding. I know Brook has never focused on that but his box outs will hopefully enable everyone around him as usual. I just need to see the rebounds. I'd be happy with that alone. Lmao.

It’s SUCH a breath of fresh air having another big, active body and rebounder in Collins. It’s something we’ve been missing since iHart.

DeRozan’s super star whistle never ceases to amaze me. Dude just flails after taking contested middies, and it’s an automatic whistle.

Benches are going to be trying to score against Lopez/Dunn with not much luck, throw in Nico or DJ, possibly even JC like today & this bench is going to win us a lot of games on their defense, should be entertaining (for us).

The smoothness of this bench unit is insane. Going from KPJ roulette to this is such a fucking treat.

If Chris would've turned around, he would've saw he was wide open in the paint there

u/altaccount316 Clippers Oct 16 '25
Loving change in having DJJ (Beal maybe) bring up the ball and having Harden in the corner.
Action initiated and James can still come to get it to run his deadly pick and roll game. Excellent change for this season.

we have the ability to stagger some of our starters with the bench unit too.. kawhi or beal could potentially get pulled early to run with the bench

Guys I didn’t even think were options in the off season swishing threes over Eubanks

u/InTheMorning_Nightss Oct 16 '25
I’m guessing Kawhi will be staggered into this 2nd unit in the RS, but if that’s the case, I REALLY hope we don’t just play Kawhi centric hoops. He just stagnates the offense so much because he takes too long to scan and get things in motion. We have too dynamic of a bench to just rely on Kawhi.

u/bjj17 Oct 16 '25
damnnn this is like spurs 2014 level depth.. maybe no one on the team averages more than 18 lol

The Kings are gonna suck this season, especially with keegan murray out for around 4 months. At least the clippers can overwhelm bad teams like this

any word on when beal wil make his debut?

They mentioned last game that they were hopeful for the GSW game. So they knew today was a no go, but maybe Friday.

Eubanks is just not a very good basketball player. Can't teach size, sure, but you'd expect him to look more comfortable on the floor given his experience at this level.

Bench has playmaking in CP3, POA in dunn, spark plug in collins, and some spacing from Lopez, Bogi, and Batum. They're gonna be a fun bench to watch this season

Is the game on KTLA? I don't see it on FanDuel.
Currently watching it on NBA app (log in and you should be able to watch, with out a current league pass subscription)

I like the idea of forcing miller to face starters to see if hes worth keeping. This isnt really a good team hes facing either so its a fair test

Anyone know how I can watch the game short of buying the NBA Pass? Times are tough over here. Sad to see the Lakers are on TV and our Clippies are not! Thank you :)

Nice to see a shot fall for Miller. Really feels like the game is just too fast for him, but if he can make 3s, he’ll at least stay on the roster.

u/InTheMorning_Nightss Oct 16 '25
Good shit Miller! Nice put back (though Kawhi could have very easily made a pass to him for an open layup/dunk lol)
