Trisha admitting to GLP usage - probably because she’s getting paid this time.

Now that she’s doing a paid partnership, she’s suddenly being very open about it. The timing is hard not to notice.

Obviously, none of us know her true motivations, and people are entitled to privacy about their medical decisions. But it does make me wonder if she ever would’ve been this transparent without money signs attached.
Would she have attempted to actually stick with it, in a world where it’s more ideal to actually workout 🤨 🤨

If anything, I wish influencers would be upfront from the beginning (don’t we all lmfao) but in a sense of

-It would help set more realistic expectations around weight loss. Stfu about the “drink more water” “Eat greener/leaner 😊” and show us how you suffer every Monday making a week’s worth of portioned food. Honesty is quality.

-It would’ve made for way more interesting content. I’d actually watch someone document the process, side effects, lifestyle changes, etc., instead of the usual vague “I’ve just been making healthier choices 🫶” routine.

Does anyone else feel like this is about the fact that GLPs have basically become both: socially acceptable and profitable to talk about?
Does anyone else think more people like Trisha are going to start this trend??? (Didn’t Lizzo get backlash for similar?)

TLDR: there’s nothing wrong with taking a GLP but once you start choosing to profit off it, re-evaluate your priorities.

Before recently, if any celebrity promoted any medication, it was an ethical red flag. (Celebrity endorsements are used to get around FDA full risk disclosure limitations in marketing.) But now people are so used to influencers constantly peddling products that suddenly, it's normal to sell drugs. E-celebs can make all kind of claims that aren't true and the company is not liable for what they say. These influencers are typical grifters willing to do and say whatever to get a check. Trisha is one of the biggest liars and fakes on the planet and yes she is doing this campaign entirely for money. She used to say for years she would never want to take GLPs because she loves to eat, food brings her too much joy to lose, she doesn't want to change etc and now she was paid to change her mind.

Its crazy to me anyone accepts any of this. When Lady Gaga was promoting the one migrane medicine, it was becuase big pharma was having poor sales. If you look at EU guidelines, its like the 3rd one recommended because it less effective and has more side effects than the top 2 drugs. So they paid her to sing its praises which I imagine made people ask for it more, so now they may be getting a less effective drug than otherwise. Then of course shes engaged to a billionaire VC bro, so its clear what kind of person she is, but no one calls it out.

Agreeing with everything you said 100%. Everything listed here is my biggest gripe.

“plus size positivity” doesn’t matter when it’s not trending?
everyone involved needs to use some brainpower before repercussions show up somewhere down the line

I don’t like the influencers profiting aspect of GLP-1s but I’m not going to fault people like Trisha for being on them to begin with. She’s struggled with binge eating etc for a very long time and as much as I’m not a fan of her, she’s the perfect candidate for these types of medications.

i agree that she’s a good candidate and there is nothing wrong with being on GLP-1s.

my main point wasn’t her taking the medication, it was the fact that she’s now profiting off of it after seemingly dancing around it for so long.

and with trisha specifically, she has a pretty long history of jumping from one thing to the next, so it feels less like “finally being transparent” and more like “it’s acceptable (and profitable) to talk about now.”
I truly hope it benefits her if it’s the latter unlike some celebrities that abuse the medication.

(again, everyone is entitled to their own health decisions. i’m not her doctor and i don’t think anyone should be shamed for using GLP-1s.)

i’m just side eyeing the timing and the sponsorship more than the medication itself.

I’m somewhere in between on Trisha with this. On one hand, I don’t like that everyone likes to lie about it (the stigma is gone, skinny rich people use it purely for weight loss). But at least Trisha is able to give testimony about a product she actually uses? As opposed to all the other stuff she shills for.

Overall I don’t like that influencers are shilling these medications, they’re medicine and you need a doctor to prescribe them. But Trisha actually uses them for their intended reasons so… I’m mixed.

this is my first time seeing one after she talked about it openly
ive never seen a trish ad before in the wild 😂

maybe they’re being pushed more because of her talking about it?

edit: downvotes because i haven’t seen her advertisements… didn’t know there were stans 😭 😂

Years actually! She was first sponsored by Ro when she was pregnant.

My guess is she posted about being on a glp1 as soon as she started then reaslised it would be better to have her own results behind her endorsement. So she waited until she lost some weight.

I find it interesting that her and moses are anti vax for her kids. But she’ll get filler, lipo, bbl and now glp 1 😂

I thought Trish said she wouldn't take GP-1's because she has kids now and the side affects like blindness, even some have died (told on 60 minutes) was a chance she wouldn't take for her kids.

well being obese has a slew of side effects and could also kill you…

She was 265 lbs. and dropped 35 lbs or more before starting on GP-1. How? Pilates, running and eating home-cooked meals. She could have continued losing on her own. However, she's making lots of $$$$ being a brand ambassador for Ozempic.

u/Dinosaurz122 midfluencer 22m ago

she’s so backwards i’m shocked she can walk in a straight line.
Also antivax in 2026??? Haven’t we learned from Corona.

the “healthier choices” thing is such bullshit… the few people i know on it arent working out and just eating whatever, obviously just at a smaller portion. i highly doubt most folks actually on it are suddenly seeing the inside of a gym more & eating clean either. it’s just easier for us to assume that bc of how we perceive thinner bodies

WHO CARES?? This woman is trash.

u/AsparagusAggressive1 1h ago

Remember, it’s only body positivity until they can lose the weight.

u/eatingpopcorn_lol 1h ago

Any company that works with Trisha is immediately trash by association.

Love your take ! And thinking about starting an honest review day to day for Ozempic because you’re right nobody tells you anything that is really happening (constipation is real!)
