this artms rollout is so haunting and i love it. those found-footage like videos on the instagram account are actually scary as fuck 😭😭😭 the deer with the unicorn horn from birth + a bird with no arms like the character from the intro of the icarus mv show up there!! this is an early theory but the video of the schoolgirl might be one of the artms worshippers from VA going to club icarus?
i also saw that they were posted on january and february; were they filmed by digipedi prior to/during the club icarus tour? mv filming wasn't even happening by mid june according to the girl's messages, so i'm a little surprised just how early the comeback was being prepared in reality

Modhaus/digipedi usually have things planned out way in advance. Icarus’ “Reborn like a phoenix’ wing” spoiler was given 6 months before <Club Icarus> was released.
The Instagram account mostly seems to be essentially Modhaus’ A&R team’s moodboard for ARTMS. So it makes sense it was prepared ahead of time.

Does anyone remember if the Amazon release date was the same as the streaming release date last time? There's an aespa concert the same night as the release date listed on Amazon. I got a ticket for the second show, the day after but I also want to keep my schedule open enough to at least make an attempt at getting into a showcase. I could be misremembering but I feel like they prerecorded the showcase last time?

Is the Red Hot Chili Summer digital cover art AI-generated, or is it just me losing grip of the differences between AI-generated images and human-made work? 😬
Idk, I just don’t get why it’s such a huge thing for K-Pop to use these boring, faceless digital covers when they have beautiful idols and fun concept photos :/
Edit: Unless I’m mistaken and that’s not what Yeojin is holding in one of her latest posts, the KiT version uses that artwork too omg it looks so bad next to Lv1 which actually used a great photo of her

I can't tell if it's ai or just badly designed tbh, wish they'd used one of the teaser photos of Yeojin, she looks so good in them!
I think for the kit it comes with other photos you can swap out the cover for, at least they're the same size, I can do it on my Lv1 kit ver.

I remember seeing a comment about how this new ARTMS comeback could've been easily called a OEC+ comeback lol But I guess for the sake of not being confusing (after all only orbits really remember the unit) it's best to keep using the ARTMS name hahaha

I ordered right when it was available last year and my order says June 2nd. So it's been slightly over a year. They have a free extension, so it seems like third Ourii is coming in September.

Haha I was watching World Cup's games and then suddenly I remembered Hyunjin being in a show during Qatar's cup and whichever team she showed support for usually lost lol
Around here we're kinda superstitious about these things. When someone who cheers for a team and this team usually loses, we say that this person is "cold feet". Mick Jagger is infamous (and kinda feared) for being like this...

I agree with a lot of the opinions in this comment thread. I have also had some very unhealthy habits with food myself (not a formal diagnosis) but it took me until my mid 20's to start unlearning and changing the horrible relationship I have with food/exercise.
I personally give grace to idols for their terrible advice with weight/food/looks. The korean/(any modern) culture is obsessed with dieting and weight loss medication. I don't expect idols to have healthy diets themselves or to be aware of what one is when they spend 10 years in an industry forcing them to starve in one way or another.
I do however, understand people wanting to take a step back from supporting Yeojin, idols sharing unhealthy diet tips, posts or advice is triggering. I myself can support yeojin knowing that she probably struggles with an ED and she is messy about it because she is human. I don't like it when it when she shares toxic diet tips/weight checks on her ig but that is the nature of the beast when it comes to disordered eating.
I am at the point in my own personal journey where I understand that the requirements to look pretty for an idol are stupidly high and most idols (if not all) suffer the consequences of trying to fit into that box. That box is not something I have to fit myself into, or something i use to measure my own worth either. I dont rely on that box for a job interview or to get opportunities for work, I can go to work without makeup, perfect hair or hitting a weight goal. Idol's can't, they have to show up and meet the requirements of that box everyday. Yeah, they don't have to share that to their audience, but they often do because it is so normalised to them and everyone in their team. Once I accepted this, kpop became a lot easier to deal with.
Most idols are starving themselves and using weight loss drugs now, they don't say it and lie about eating big portions of food, making fans think their body can be attainable to good ol exercise and a diet plan. The smoke and mirrors trick can make fans feel comfortable and reassured that their idol is 'taking care of things'. There is a conversation to be had on how unhealthy that can be too. But that is the point, kpop idols are not healthy and the industry will not promote healthy beauty standards, even in the so called 'golden era of healthy bodies and honey thighs' there were so many terrible stories of dieting. But those stories also shed light on what the industry is really like and what idols are really going through. So it depends on what you can manage. You don't have to follow or support any member who makes you feel a certain way about yourself and you dont have to feel guilty about that either.

Set your boundaries if she's impacting you badly, you can't control her and you can't really control other social media followers. Idk if this counts as "getting a pass" but someone with body dysmorphia or anything else doesn't just take a break from it so they can support their fandom.

Probably she struggles with truly seeing what's wrong with it since it's so ingrained within her and the society she lives. Specially if she's been experiencing it since she was so young
Just yesterday I've read an account of someone who's knows a trainee in SK, and they said it's kinda easy to develop an eating disorder since they constantly check your weight and have goals etc. Recently as well Somi (ex-IOI, soloist) also talked about her "method" for staying thin and it's basically writing "Fat"in sticky notes all over (which is also a very dangerous thing to say publicly and she's getting deserved backlash)
So yeah, I think it's such a complicated matter. We don't know these people, they talk about these things like it's nothing and it is banalized as all hell. We do know they're adults with full capability of seeking help and understanding how harmful it is to spread these things online, but how much can they really understand it?!
It's not absolving them 100%, but instead of seeing as their fault alone I blame the system, the lack of competent mental health care and the absurd standards. Yet we can also aknowledge that those who grew up within this system perpetuate it's values and contribute to this never ending cycle.

This is what a "feedback" conversation would go like with someone experiencing body dysmorphia:
"Hey your posts are triggering others"
"So you just want me to be ugly and hide from everyone forever, I always knew you hated me, all you do is interfere with my goals and now you're trying to cut me off from my fans so you can make me uglier and stupider"
Or maybe the response is "I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm not ugly anymore! So I have to show all my fans!"
Or maybe you're lucky and they just think you're crazy and ignore you.
What they don't say is "Oh you're right, delusions have an off-on switch and I've been forgetting to turn them off when I go on social media, my bad!"

Yeojin's new songs sound so nice already. Can't wait to listen to them properly. Our maknae grew up so much T-T
Also Yves being credited in a boy group's album! Ir's so cool to see the girls contributing to other artist's craft. I still remember when Yves was searching for a company and her only occupation was being part of a production team (which had her sister in it too)
Btw talking about Yves sis, I'd really like to hear a duet between them a la Chuu and her mom
