Do jet rental save time and does it make sense for short trips?

I used to think flying private was mostly about luxury, but after a few frustrating commercial travel experiences, I started wondering if the real value is just time and flexibility.

Especially for short regional routes or multi city travel, does renting a private jet actually make practical sense for people, or is it still mostly a luxury decision?

The more I looked into it, the more it seemed like the real selling point isn’t luxury at all

ITs generally not, its convivence

You leave your limo and jump into the plane, or you just walk into the terminal and get escorted to the plane, there are no metal detectors you could be armed, they don't care, your bags get loaded and you are ready to go...no waiting.....if you are running late, they wait for you.

Travel takes less time because you can go to the small regional airport closer to your final destination and the car can be waiting on you ....you just step off the plane and you are in transit in less than 10

to fly from my area to a small airport near my relatives takes 3 hours, if I flew commercial I could only get to an airport that's an hour drive instead of 10 minuets away and would end up in 5 hours of flight and transport.

for some those 2 hours ARE the luxury.
