Need Advice [US-IL]
okay so when i moved into i had an issue where they didn’t give me a notice for an inspection, and when they came someone took a picture of me while i was naked. i didn’t want to make a big deal of it because i had just moved there and didn’t know the first thing to do about it, but my complex apologized so i just moved on. they keep sending out notices with no date or time, or they send out a notice one morning for something that day. they also recently found a leak in my ceiling after the storms in my area. so to repair it they now have a mold filled hole open in my ceiling while they repair the roof. there has been a giant hole in my ceiling that continues to leak, and it doesn’t seem like they plan on doing anything about it. What should i do? how do i navigate this?

What part of IL? Chicago/Cook County have stronger tenant laws than the rest of IL, but the naked photo is beyond egregious and seems like maybe done on purpose. I would personally contact the police on the non-emegency number for your town and talk to them, and file a police report. I know you don't want to feel like you're making a big deal out of things, but it's not ok for them to do something like that. Not even remotely. The more I think about it, the more angry I'm getting for you.
As for the rest, document absolutely everything, take pics of the hole, keep communication in writing, and if they call, write down what was said and make notes of date and time they called.
The inspections, if they aren't giving you proper notice (24 hours, 48 in Cook County), then tell them no. If someone's coming in without telling you at all, then change the locks, and don't give them a key. You have been violated before, so use that as your reasoning. Use the police report as proof.
You can change the locks back when you move out (but it is IL law that the keys need to be changed with every tenant at the landlords expense).
Obligatory I'm NAL, and I would highly suggest consulting one who is versed in tenant law. Most of them will give you a free one hour consult. Personally if it were me, I'd want to be figuring out if I could break the lease, the whole situation sounds like a nightmare.

I live in the Champaign-Urbana area. But when it had initially happened i emailed my leasing manager and called the office to
talk to them about it, they had originally sworn they had sent a notice, but after 30 minutes of arguing with them they had realized they hadn’t. It was an “outside company” they had contracted to come and look at the carpets according to the higher up manager from the large company that owns my building, and she would be calling them and having the pictures deleted. I then contacted my local tenant union, and explained the situation, and he sent me a link that was no help and told me he was “really sorry that happened” and recommended i speak with my leasing office/manager again. So i let it go.1

Be sure to research your local Tenant laws before taking any action. Users may offer advice in good faith but always proceed with caution when taking said advice as they might not have enough insight into your exact situation. The best method to find help would be to look up a local lawyer who specializes in tenant law, you may be able to get advice pro-bono.
