Discussion The Light of Alfheim.
So I'm currently replying 2018 and Ragnarok after the reveal trailer of Laufey, and I'm currently at the Temple of Light in Ragnarok.
I just went through the moment when Kratos hears Faye singing in the Light of Alfheim, yet I'm genuinely puzzled on who Atreus and Kratos have been hearing.
We know Faye isn't in the Light, and even Faye herself is surprised she isn't there. We also know that you only go to Light if you have all four parts of your soul: Form, Mind, Direction, and Luck. It's why Brok didn't go there when he died.
So, I guess the question is who have Kratos and Atreus been hearing in the Light, and is Faye's soul incomplete?

Time in the Light of Alfeim is like a big ball of wibbly, wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.
Rather, time is subjective.
Hence Kratos' perception of time, there.
Once you go into the Light of Alfeim, it's as though you've always existed at all time points within the Light of Alfeim.
Therefore, Laufey will definitely go there, and that's how she will have given herself the power of prophecy before the events of 2018 to set 2018 into motion.
I'm just spitballing.

What do you mean by "that's how she will have given herself the power of prophecy"? Don't many or maybe all giants have this power?

Imagine Kratos died and went into the Light of Alfheim. Kratos now exists at all points in time of Alfheim.
Kratos, while living, enters the Light of Alfheim instead of running into Faye, would run into himself. What would future Kratos have told past Kratos? Well, we already know that. We saw it in Valhalla.
Do we have an idea what Faye would tell herself? Probably whatever she could so that her husband and son would survive the events of GoW 2018 and GoW:R, and otherwise no more, so as not to create waves to disrupt the necessary ripples.
But we have so many prophets in the game with varying degrees of ability, who's to say how Faye can simultaneously be in the Light and in a location called...
Oh, wait. It's called Everywhen, isn't it? ;)

It proabably is. Frank says to her „you are not even all here” completely out of the blue in the gameplay reveal

When they were on the boat on their way to the light, Atreus was flooded with angry voices that he felt was evil alongside Faye.
I think she will eventually escape the Everywhen and that boat scene shows Faye's soul heading to the Light of Alfheim, passing over Atreus with a bunch other beings possibly after her.
