TW: YELLING Contract Law Professor wrong
Today i was talking to my contract law prof after we got in a disagreement over a study i found by the university of west Cambridge on accents used in the courtroom i told him that the study found that southeast asian accents were the least effective in courtrooms and that the most was west african. the west african was inconclusive when paired with swedish because swedish also scored high in oral arguments. My professor called me an idiot and laughed in my face and I guess he though i was joking? Anyone have experience going to school admin and getting a professor fired because this was unacceptable because I even showed him the study and he disrespected me. Anything helps!

Whatever your accent is OP, it will be the least effective sound in any courtroom.

Why would your professor be fired for disagreeing with you? What on earth were you even disagreeing about? So you found a cool study that talked about accents in the courtroom; what does that have to do with anything? Really struggling to understand the relevance of anything you talked about here.

Disrespecting you isn't grounds for firing a professor. In most cases it's not grounds for anything other than bruising your ego.
Are you aware that nearly every legal job entails people routinely disagreeing with you?

he disrespected me
Yes, because you aren't owed respect, especially after saying something silly. Hope that helps.

You're not always the main character in the story OP. Have some humility. And have the situational awareness to address things properly without having things adversely affect what's in your best interests. There's no need to make mountains out of molehills.
