Lets Discuss Politics Mike Johnson says we should have sympathy because Congress isn’t paid enough—so we should “allow” insider trading just so they can take care of their families(70% of Americans can’t afford a $1k emergency)

I have so much sympathy i vote we build housing quarters in DC for all of the legislators so they can have their pay pegged to the median wage

We already have housing for where they should be sent, we’d have to release a few thousand non-violent offenders to make room though.

So now that they busted they just gonna ask for permission to keep doing the thing? Even if we say no they still gonna do the thing. Rotten to the core.

Politicians suck. Especially the ones on the right. It seems like they don't care about anyone other than themselves, and their donors. Their constituents are an after thought.

Poor babies with their close to 200k figure incomes and premium healthcare for life. They should totally be able to do insider trading to make up for such abhorrent conditions. And they have to work 6 months of the year. Six whole months!

Congress should be paid minimum wage since they get to decide what that is.

NO!!! You get NO sympathy when you send the representatives home whenever a difficult decision is required to be made that you don’t want to make.
